The tag team division of SmackDown Live has been in serious jeopardy after the Superstar Shake-Up. Xavier Woods and Big E won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Extreme Rules after they dethroned Erick Rowan and Daniel Bryan. Apart from Heavy Machinery and Erick Rowan & Daniel Bryan, the SmackDown is short on credible challengers.

The team of Drew McIntyre and Elias will take on the current champions on SmackDown Live this week. While Shane McMahon will face Kevin Owens at SummerSlam, Elias and McIntyre are without opponents for the big event, thus, WWE can bolster the tag division by giving McIntyre and Elias a tag team titles shot.

It will not be surprising if McIntyre & Elias defeat Big E & Xavier Woods on this week's SmackDown. Following a victory over the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Elias and McIntyre could become the next challengers for the twin belts at SummerSlam. It's a sensible booking decision.
