3 Hints WWE dropped on RAW after Survivor Series (November 25th, 2019)

Charlotte and Asuka on RAW

It was a great weekend with NXT War Games and Survivor Series, and both shows were spectacular. It was a high for RAW after Survivor Series, and WWE did well in continuing the momentum from a highly successful weekend. RAW saw the crowning of a new champion and the beginning of a couple of exciting feuds.

Although Rey Mysterio walked out of Survivor Series empty handed, things changed for the legendary Superstar on RAW, as he won the United States Championship for the second time in his career. Knocking on the door of Aleister Black last week, Buddy Murphy picked a fight with 'The Dutch Destroyer,' and the two men put their hands on each other this week. Asuka secured her first singles win over Charlotte Flair, with the help of the green mist, which was also the reason for Charlotte's elimination at Survivor Series. Moreover, Seth Rollins showed a different persona this week, blaming RAW's dismal performance at Survivor Series on the entire roster, and he met Kevin Owens in the main event of the night.

Here are three hints WWE dropped on RAW this week.

#3 Charlotte Flair could be targeting Asuka's title

Having failed to secure a victory for Team RAW, Charlotte Flair certainly had a forgettable night at Survivor Series. 'The Queen' was pinned because Asuka turned on her team, spitting green mist on Flair. The betrayal set a Monday night match up between the two behemoths of RAW's Women's Division.

With two victories over Asuka, including the streak ending bout at WrestleMania 34, Charlotte was confident before heading into RAW. However, 'The Queen' fell into the trap of the green mist again, as 'The Empress of Tomorrow' pinned Charlotte for the first time in her career.

Judging by the storyline, it is clear Charlotte and Asuka will have a feud, but if Flair manages to find a tag team partner, this is likely to become a tag team feud involving The Kabuki Warriors. Given the fact that Becky Lynch teamed up with Charlotte in the past two weeks on RAW, the former foes could challenge the reigning Women's Tag Team Champions in the weeks ahead.

#2 AOP will align with Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins opened RAW this week with the entire Red Brand roster at ringside. Instead of taking the blame as the captain of Team RAW, Rollins scrutinized the RAW roster for the poor showing at Survivor Series, where the flagship show suffered an embarrassing loss. Out of the seven matches for brand supremacy, RAW won just one match, coming last in the battle of brands.

A preponderance of fans have been wanting Rollins to turn heel, and 'The Beastslayer' showed a glimpse of it on RAW this week. The way he delivered the opening segment, calling out RAW Superstars and prompting them to walk out certainly showed his heel persona. After getting a stunner from Kevin Owens, Rollins faced him in the main event.

While WWE hinted at a full scale heel turn for Rollins, they also gave a hint of his new alliances as a bad guy. AOP, the former RAW Tag Team Champions, interrupted the main event and attacked Owens, but refrained from attacking Rollins. Given Rollins had J&J Security as his back-up when he was a heel, it would not be surprising if AOP play the same part for 'The Beastslayer' in the future.

#1 Rey Mysterio is set to get a big push

The last two nights have been a roller coaster ride for Rey Mysterio. From coming close to getting his hands on the Red Brand's most coveted prize, to overcoming all odds and winning the US Championship the following night on RAW, everything happened within a span of 24 hours. WWE's 'Ultimate Underdog' has proved his worth once again.

Despite a valiant attempt, Rey Mysterio could not get the job done at Survivor Series, when he faced Brock Lesnar. Humberto Carrillo was scheduled to take on AJ Styles for the US Title on RAW, but was ambushed by The OC. Subsequently, a Fatal 4-Way match took place to decide the number one contender for the United States Championship. Beating Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, and Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio faced and defeated AJ Styles to win the United States Championship, ending an impressive title reign of 'The Phenomenon One.'

Mysterio's last US Title run was ruined by an injury. Given his performance at Survivor Series and RAW, the company has hinted that he is set to get a big push. Expect Mysterio to get a lengthy title reign, and Dominic could play an important part.
