3 Initial Main Roster Rivalries for Aleister Black

Who will Fade to Black first?
Who will Fade to Black first?

Aleister Black made a stellar main roster debut last week when he defeated Elias in a singles match on Raw. He followed up the victory by defeating Andrade on SmackDown Live during his debut on the blue brand.

Recently, Black bid farewell to NXT during a Live Event, which could signal that he is off to the main roster for good after an eventful two-plus year stint on NXT. Black is scheduled to team up with Ricochet and face the heel team of Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown Live this week.

As all the NXT call-ups are working as free agents on both the brands, one can’t help but speculate which feuds they will be getting into on each brand. Therefore, we have come up with a list of three superstars who could prove to be great rivals for Black on the main roster.

#3 Andrade

Aleister Black and Andrade are no strangers to each other. In 2016, at NXT TakeOver: Orlando, Black made his televised in-ring debut, defeating Andrade "Cien" Almas. Last week, Black made his SmackDown Live debut and defeated Andrade.

But that’s not all, as Andrade is the same man Black defeated to win the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans on April 7, 2018.

Therefore, there is no doubt that there is a history between the two men, and Black’s initial rivalry on SmackDown could be against the man who has faced him in a few top class matches in the past.

Black’s first victory on SmackDown, coupled with the fact that Black’s real-life wife manages Andrade on screen, could prove to be a great storyline plot which can help develop a great rivalry between these two talented men.

#2 Baron Corbin

The former acting Raw General Manager will surely not be pleased with new NXT Superstars and taking all the limelight while he’s being pushed to the mid-cards.

This may prompt Corbin to go after one of the new call-ups, and Aleister Black could be the man Corbin targets to prove to the WWE Universe that he is the main attraction on Raw.

Corbin has been used excessively by WWE to keep other major superstars afloat while waiting for a good storyline for them. They could use him once again in an attempt to push Black and keep him on-screen while they look for a bigger and better feud for him on Raw.

There is little doubt that Black will become one of Raw’s main attractions in the coming months, and Corbin could be used as the first target to put the newcomer over.

#1 Drew McIntyre

Once Black is ready to progress onto a bigger feud on Raw, there is one man who will be ready and waiting for him and that man is Drew McIntyre.

The Scottish Psychopath is looking for new targets every month as he tries to prove his dominance on the flagship brand. He has run through many superstars and will be looking for a new victim in the coming months.

Aleister Black will prove to be the best pairing against the monster, as Black is extremely athletic, strong, and talented. Matches between these two men will be nothing short of extraordinary, and we will definitely get some of the best matches on Raw from these two men.

Aleister could also prove to be a good partner for Braun Strowman in his current storyline against Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre, and his rivalry against these three men individually could come as a result of that.
