This week's SmackDown took place in Manchester, England as part of WWE's European Tour. The show itself, which was taped and not aired live was a fairly standard placeholder-style event, but it did contunue to set the table for Survivor Series.

One segment that took place this week involved The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan. The former leader of the Yes Movement has been going through a character change over the past couple of weeks, leaning back toward being the "man of the people" that he used to be and Sami Zayn has been trying to convince him to join the team of Zayn and the Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.

So far, Bryan has turned down the offers, but this week the story began to unravel. Zayn, backstage, was again trying to convince Bryan to join him and suddenly the lights went out. Red lights replaced the normal lighting when the cameras faded back out of darkness, and there was The Fiend, standing right behind Bryan. The new Universal Champion put the Mandible Claw on Bryan, and the lights went out as we could hear that sinister laugh of Bray Wyatt.

In this piece, we state the three reasons why WWE may have decided to book a feud between The Fiend and Daniel Bryan.

#3 Daniel Bryan is unselfish and will make his opponents look good

One of the most brilliant traits of Daniel Bryan, which not many professional wrestlers have around the world, is that he is unselfish and extremely generous in the ring and out. He wrestles for the overall betterment of the sport, not just to cash a paycheck and ignore the future.

Take the match against Adam Cole, for example. Bryan made the former Panama Playboy look like the one of the best wrestlers in the world during their match for the NXT Championship on SmackDown. Daniel Bryan is probably the best active wrestler today who can make both himself and his opponent look good in a match, no matter what the outcome.

Because of his willingness and eagernness to help the future stars that will carry the business into the next generation and beyond, he will do everything in his power to make The Fiend look like a living and breathing monster.

#2 The men have a lot of history together

One of the biggest reasons that this feud is best for business is that it makes complete sense. tt's good for WWE and even better for the fans, who love to see long-term stories followed up. Bray Wyatt, in his Firefly Fun House, often says " Friends forget, but The Fiend never forgets".

What that implies is that any Superstar who has crossed paths with Wyatt, going all the way back to his debut 6 years ago, is not safe. The Fiend seems very likely to attack any former foe, as the monster seems to be triggered when he comes across anybody he has ever had a problem with. Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt spet the last few months of 2013 and into 2014 going toe-to-toe, and at one point in time, Bryan was actually a vey short-lived member of the Wyatt Family.

Much like most aspects of the Fiend character, this feud makes perfect sense. Everything is detailed and explained. It's not like The Fiend is attacking anybody and everybody just for the thrill of it or to cause chaos; there's a proper and meaninful reason behind every attack, and that will make the budding return of this rivalry special.

#1 To turn Daniel Bryan back into a babyface

Another reason why The Fiend is the perfect opponent for Daniel Bryan is that the latter has been going through a difficult period in his life and career. Over the past couple of weeks, he has worked neither as a heel nor as a face. He has done just what he wants to do because, after everything that has transpired in the near-decade he has been with the company, Bryan doesn't have much left to accomplish. He seems to be at a loss as to where he goes next.

Bryan has been teasing a face turn in recent weeks, and the switch roles from villain to hero is coming sooner rather than later. For that very reason, Vince McMahon might have decided to pit The Fiend against Bryan. It helps Bryan become the underdog character that he is so stellar at playing, and helps WWE sell more merchandise by potentially bringing back the Yes Movement. It will also help Bryan fighr back against the Fiend, of course.

' The American Dragon ' Daniel Bryan has always been at his best as a babyface and the WWE Universe always backs him no matter what. Also, due to the lack of popular faces in the SmackDown division, turning Bryan back into one of the good guys is a very important move.. It makes this feud with The Fiend a proper heel vs face program, and both Bryan and Bray will come out better for it.
