3 Reasons why WWE should bring back Enzo & Cass and (2 reasons why they should hold off for now)

Could we witness the return of the Certified G's?
Could we witness the return of the Certified G's?

How you doin'?

According to a recent report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one of WWE's most popular tag teams of all time, Enzo Amore and Cass were reportedly rumored to make their way back to the company after being fired in 2018.

With nothing being confirmed as of now, another report eventually claimed WWE certainly has no interest in bringing back Enzo and Cass after all and their move back to WWE might be off at this point in time.

Well, regardless of a move back to WWE or not, there is no denying in the fact that Enzo and Cass have established themselves as two of professional wrestling's most talked about superstars following their departures from WWE. With Enzo pursuing a career in the rap industry and Cass competing on the Independent Circuit, the duo eventually reunited at the G1 Supercard when they jumped the barricade at the ROH/NJPW co-produced show, earlier in the year.

The duo's ROH invasion certainly went down as one of the most talked about angles of the year, and that definitely proved how much of an influence the two men have on the pro wrestling industry.

With all that being said, this seems like the right time to take a look at a few reasons why WWE should consider bringing in Enzo & Cass now and a couple of reasons why they should hold off for the time being.

#5 Why They Should: One of the all-time popular tag teams in NXT history

The WWE Universe has always been a fan of these two
The WWE Universe has always been a fan of these two

During their time with NXT, Enzo and Cass were by far the most popular tag team on the brand that consisted the likes of the American Alpha, The Vaudevillians, and The Mechanics (whom we now know as The Revival).

Every time Enzo and Cass had made their way out to the arena, the two men would blow the roof off with their immense amount of charisma that eventually cemented their place as one of the best tag teams of all time.

Bringing Enzo and Cass back to NXT would definitely be a good move considering how popular they've always been with the Full Sail University faithful.

#4 Why They Should Hold Off: Their history on the main roster

Enzo and Cass' split up wasn't too kind
Enzo and Cass' split up wasn't too kind

Enzo and Cass had initially started out with a great run on the main roster. However, things didn't go to plan accordingly, as the duo eventually went different directions and split apart after WWE decided to bring to an end to one of the most charismatic teams of all time in WWE history.

Following their split on the main roster, Enzo would be assigned to the 205 Live Cruiserweight brand where, much to everyone's shock, he would win the Cruiserweight Championship by defeating Neville (who is now known as PAC). However, after a controversial turn of events, the former Cruiserweight Champion was eventually let go from WWE.

Similarly, for Cass, the other half of the duo was on course to become one of the successful big men competitors in WWE. However, due to reported backstage incidents, Cass was also released from his contract in what was one of the more shocking WWE releases of the year.

#3 Why They Should: They have proved themselves to be major draws

Love it or hate it, you cannot deny the fact that the team of Enzo and Cass are one of the most popular tandems in all of professional wrestling today (like I haven't mentioned this already). During their time with WWE, not only did they prove themselves to be one of the most popular tag teams in the company, but upon their call-up to the main roster, the duo received an immense reception from the WWE Universe.

On the main roster, the duo was massively popular within the WWE Universe and even after their release from the company, the pairing had maintained their status still as one of the most popular teams in pro wrestling. At the G1 Supercard, Enzo and Cass' invasion eventually turned out to be one of the most talked-about angles of the year, which in itself proves how big of a draw the duo still is.

If WWE is to bring NXT live on Wednesdays, then Enzo and Cass could prove to be a massive factor.

#2 Why They Shouldn't: The Tag Team Division already has a lot of depth

NXT doesn't really need the services of these two
NXT doesn't really need the services of these two

As of now, the WWE NXT Tag Team Division has a lot of depth. Even with the constant call ups of the some of the best tag teams to the main roster, there is certainly no doubt in the fact that NXT has maintained a status of having some of the best duos in the world of pro wrestling.

The likes of Undisputed Era, The Forgotten Sons, the newly reunited Breezango, and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch bring a lot to the table for NXT. And, with that being said, there is certainly no need for WWE to bring in Enzo and Cass to the black and gold brand, as of now, as far as tag team depth is concerned.

Despite Enzo and Cass being major draws, a stuffed roster is probably the last thing NXT would want at this point, given that they will be shifting to a 2-hour show on Wednesdays from now on.

#1 Why They Should: To finally put the tag team titles on them

Will these two finally win the NXT Tag Team Titles?
Will these two finally win the NXT Tag Team Titles?

During their time with WWE, Enzo and Cass were always vouched to be the favorite duo to win the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships and despite having challenged for the belts on a few occasions, the smack-talking duo eventually failed to capture the gold. After being promoted to the main roster in 2016, the WWE Universe finally started thinking that WWE would pull the trigger and put the tag team titles on the duo. However, much to everyone's shock, that wasn't the case either on this occasion.

Well, if WWE is to finally bring back Enzo and Cass to NXT then not putting the tag titles on the duo would be a major mistake (well, that's what I personally feel). We can all question Enzo and Cass' wrestling capabilities as much as we want but that doesn't change the fact that the two men are massively charismatic and popular within the WWE Universe and having them as champions would certainly bring a change in NXT, as well.
