Seth Rollins has won the Money in the Bank briefcase for the second time in his WWE career. The Visionary used all the tricks of the trade to ensure that he walked out with that coveted briefcase by the end of the match. When the going got tough for him, Rollins signalled his men, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, to come out and clear the way.

The duo came out and did exactly what was expected from them. They ambushed five other men, making it easier for Rollins. And then, Jacob Fatu turning on Solo Sikoa was another icing on the cake, making it even easier for Seth Rollins. This win holds a lot of prominence for The Visionary as it has come at a time when he is in the strongest position in WWE.

This listicle will outline three reasons why WWE crowned Seth Rollins, Mr. Money in the Bank, this year.

#3 To strengthen his heel run

Seth Rollins is in the best heel run of his career, and the Money in the Bank briefcase makes his character more interesting. He has aligned with Paul Heyman for the first time and has two monsters under his wings. The last time he won the briefcase was in 2014, but he was then a rookie who had just emerged from The Shield and was trying to make his way in WWE.

A decade down the line, Rollins has more wisdom and experience on his shoulders. Fans prefer his heel run more than his babyface character, and this might be why the WWE creative team decided to play the bet on The Architect when he is in his best form as a heel.

#2 To make his faction stronger by booking him as World Heavyweight Champion once again

Another reason why WWE might have booked Rollins as Mr. Money in the Bank is to make him the World Heavyweight Champion, thereby strengthening his faction. Rollins was nowhere in the title picture up till now, and it was mainly Gunther and Logan Paul who had their eyes set on Jey Uso's World Heavyweight Championship.

But now, Seth Rollins is once again back in the spotlight with that briefcase in hand. Even though he can choose to cash it against John Cena's Undisputed Championship, it appears that he will select Uso Jey on RAW. And after winning the title from the Yeet Master, The Visionary will establish his faction as the strongest heel group in WWE, surpassing Bloodline 2.0.

#1 There was no other option other than Seth Rollins for the Money in the Bank briefcase

Seth Rollins was perhaps the strongest contender among all the other men in the Money in the Bank match this year. LA Knight, Andrade, Penta, and El Grande Americano are all mid-carders. Only Solo Sikoa had a slight chance of winning the briefcase after getting help from JC Mateo and Jacob Fatu. And when Fatu turned on Solo, it was pretty clear that Rollins would be the winner.

The promotion at the moment needed a strong face to win the briefcase, who would cash it soon to become the champion. Seth Rollins was that man, and he was aptly booked to be the winner.

It now only remains to be seen how and when The Architect will cash in his briefcase in the following year. Will it be at SummerSlam this August, or will he once again use it at WrestleMania next year? Let's wait to listen to what Rollins has to say about this win on Monday Night RAW this week.
