3 Things WWE could be planning on the SmackDown before Survivor Series (November 22, 2019)

Tomorrow's edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be the one last show where all three brands could have one final showdown before heading to Survivor Series on Sunday. The pressure is on the Blue Brand to produce great segments and brawls to hype the big event.

Last week, SmackDown had several good matches and a couple of important announcements. Universal Champion Bray Wyatt not only changed the color of his belt, but also received a new opponent in Daniel Bryan, as the two Superstars will collide for the Blue Brand's most coveted prize at Survivor Series. The NXT Tag Team Champions, The Undisputed Era, interfered in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between The Revival and The New Day. Rhea Ripley, along with Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim invaded NXT, and squared off against the women of the Blue Brand in a tag team match.

SmackDown already invaded RAW and NXT this week, and the other two brands are expected to do the same this week when SmackDown will take place at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Let's talk about three things WWE could be planning for the show this week.

#3 Roman Reigns pins Baron Corbin in the Six-Man Tag Team match

Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin have been feuding for awhile now, but the two men will team up as part of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. Just two days before the pay-per-view, 'The Big Dog' and King Corbin will cross paths again in a tag team match. Shorty G, Ali, Robert Roode, and Dolph Ziggler will also take part.

Corbin took a jibe at Reigns last week with a dog mascot, and the segment was disparaged by a preponderance of the WWE Universe. Moreover, Corbin also made a statement, pinning Reigns two weeks ago in a singles match, but Reigns will be seeking revenge on the Blue Brand this week.

Reigns could avenge his previous defeat by pinning King Corbin in the tag team bout this week. It will be interesting to see if Reigns and Corbin could co-exist at Survivor Series, despite their obvious differences.

#2 Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Shayna Baszler get into a brawl

Becky Lynch teamed with Charlotte Flair on RAW where the on-again/off-again friends beat The IIconics. Things got serious after the bout, as Shayna Baszler showed up with two other MMA Horsewomen. When Lynch appeared on NXT this week, she was ambushed by the reigning NXT Women's Champion once again, causing her match against Rhea Ripley to end in a no contest.

The build-up for the women's Triple Threat Match has been spectacular. Besides attacking Becky Lynch, Baszler also put her hands on the SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley a couple of times on the Blue Brand. Both Bayley and Lynch have unfinished business with Baszler before heading to their actual match, and they could settle their score on SmackDown this week.

Given Bayley sabotaged Lynch on RAW a couple of weeks ago, Lynch could target Bayley, if she invades SmackDown this week. Baszler, who has been appearing regularly on SmackDown over the past few weeks, is unlikely to miss the last show before Survivor Series, and it could all lead to a brawl between the three champions in a teaser to Sunday's Triple Threat Match.

#1 The Universal Championship match gets a new stipulation

The Fiend will be in action at Survivor Series, where he will take on 5-time WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. The Fiend made his intentions clear, abruptly attacking Daniel Bryan in a backstage segment a couple weeks ago. Bryan then challenged The Fiend to put the Universal Title on the line at Survivor Series and that challenge was accepted.

Although the main theme of this year's Survivor Series will be brand supremacy, both the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship will be defended at the show. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Rey Mysterio, and a new No Holds Barred stipulation was added to the match, making it more exciting. The Universal Championship match could get a new stipulation as well, especially considering The Fiend's two previous bouts.

The Fiend is an intimidating character, and loves to maul his opponents, especially when a new stipulation is added to his match. He took multiple stomps and a Pedigree against Seth Rollins inside the steel cage at Hell in a Cell. The Fiend won the Universal Championship after getting seven stomps from Rollins in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Crown Jewel.

Having already added a new stipulation to the WWE Championship match, it would not be surprising if WWE adds a new stipulation to the Universal Title match as well.
