WWE knows that the ratings have seen quite a few ups and downs in recent times and that they need to make a change for the better if they wish to compete with their other rivals. The company has been struggling with viewership and ticket sales and a change has been imminent. Keeping that in mind, they have decided to bring back Eric Bishoff as an Executive Director for SmackDown Live, while Paul Heyman has been given the same role for Monday Night RAW.

The two experienced veterans have been in this industry for more than a couple of decades and can really change things around, with the amount of creative freedom that they have been given now. They may shuffle a few things around to get the best out of both shows and the fans are expecting some major changes.

To add to that, they may look to bring back some of the older titles and things can get really interesting. Here are three titles that may be brought back in the Bishoff-Heyman regime.

#3 The European title

WWE has already introduced the WWE United Kingdom Championship for its NXT: UK brand, which is doing quite well for itself already. The revival of The European title could open the door for more upcoming stars like William Regal, who can turn the company on its head.

Regal was one of the best heels that WWE has ever produced and he was a master technician in the right as well. The addition of such quality superstars could do wonders for the company in the long-run and having another title up for grabs will make some of the mid-card wrestlers happy as well. They would cherish the opportunity to be called champion and it would mean that the writers can give some of the more deserving talents a push too.

#2 King of the ring

Though the “King of the ring” is not another title belt, it is an honor that was as good as any push in the past, especially during the 90s. Many of the “crowned kings” have gone on to achieve greatness in the company and with the WWE now looking for long-term prospects, the duo of Bishoff and Heyman may consider bringing it back.

Though the last time it was brought back in 2006, it failed to live up to expectations (apart from a few decent storylines), things can be quite different now. A well-planned tournament can catch the attention of the audiences and there are a lot of top superstars who can portray the role of a “king” really well.

The company could use something new to entertain the fans and grab their attention and this is one title that both the Executive Directors are familiar with. Whether they go with this idea now or not, remains to be seen.

#1 The Hardcore title

Paul Heyman was the man who introduced the World to Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). He was the individual who took it to great heights and was the pioneer of the brand. With that being said, his return to WWE in an Executive Director’s role for the Red Brand would surely rekindle his aspirations to take wrestling to a higher level.

Though he will not be able to go to the full “extreme” (due to the everlasting impact of the PG-Era), he and Bishoff could still re-introduce the Hardcore title. This is one title that the fans were keen on bringing back before the company brought in the 24/7 title.

An additional title like this can give mid-carders a way to make an impact and gain some momentum in the long-run. It could also add some diversification to the “same-old” current product and can give the fans what they need, helping the WWE draw in more crowds.
