Shane McMahon had a heated conversation with Brock Lesnar at WM 34

WrestleMania 33 ended with Brock Lesnar winning the Universal Championship from Goldberg. This match wouldn't have been possible if Lesnar had faced Shane McMahon. According to several reports, Shane was going to face The Beast Incarnate at 'Mania but Lesnar refused to work with him and after some talk, he managed to alter the plans.

"Brock was able to get himself out of that match [against Shane], which he certainly didn't want to do, Shane was gonna work with somebody, so he's gonna pick the best guy in the company." (source)

A few months ago, these two also had a heated altercation backstage during WrestleMania 34. Vince McMahon wasn't happy with the bleeding on Roman Reigns' face during his match against Lesnar. When the former Universal Champion reached backstage, he had a confrontation with McMahon.

The Conqueror threw the belt at Vince, which was even aired on WWE 24 series. Shane wasn't having any of it and he stood up against Lesnar. Dave Meltzer confirmed that "there were words exchanged", but things settled down before anything could get physical.
