When Drew McIntyre joined the main roster in 2018, fans saw big things ahead for him. 'The Scottish Psychopath' spent several years in the indies and returned to WWE, a much better wrestler. The WWE Universe expected McIntyre to soon rise to the very top of WWE's championship picture. That hasn't been the case, however, and McIntyre has struggled to stand out on RAW.

Instead, he has been relegated to bodyguard duty for both Dolph Ziggler and Shane McMahon. McIntyre has all the talent in the world and the look of a true Superstar, so it's been difficult to see him unable to make headway. His momentum slowed to a halt and to make matters even worse, he then missed time due to injury.

McIntyre was drafted to RAW during the recent WWE Draft, which indicates that he could return to in-ring action soon. Once he does return, the company can slowly give him a few key victories before slotting him into a feud with Universal Champion Seth Rollins. The two men have some history with each other, and that could help propel this story. McIntyre is more than capable of taking the Universal Championship from Seth Rollins, so long as he receives the opportunity that he deserves.
