Gimmick matches are one of the most interesting parts of pro wrestling. Throughout the history of WWE, there have been numerous gimmick matches that have caught the attention of the fans and kept them on their seats while watching the action.

One such match is the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Introduced by the GOAT, Chris Jericho, the motive of the match is to climb a ladder and grab the briefcase hanging above. The winner gets a guaranteed world title shot at any time he wants.

There have been 18 WWE superstars who have managed to grab the briefcase and call themselves Mr. Money in the Bank. Last year, it was the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman who won the Ladder Match.

Even though he was unsuccessful in winning the Universal Title, his run with the briefcase was pretty interesting.

This year again, WWE will be having their annual Money in the Bank ladder match in which they have the opportunity to build a new star or uplift a superstar to the main-event status.

In this article, let's take a look at the 3 possible superstars, who could become Mr. Money in the Bank 2019. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.

#1 Drew McIntyre

Will the Scottish Psychopath win the briefcase?

Ever since returning to WWE last year, Drew McIntyre has been one of the most dominating and impressive wrestlers on the main roster.

He's been booked as a monster, first pairing with Ziggler, then betraying him and going on his own path. His win against Kurt Angle, making him tap out to his own Ankle Lock was a statement that WWE has huge plans for him.

It's very clear that Vince definitely sees him as a future World Champion, and that could very well start by him winning the Money in the Bank.

With the rumors of Seth Rollins becoming the Universal Champion soon, having McIntyre win the briefcase could lead to a very interesting feud between the two of them.

#2 Finn Balor

Will the Balor club rise to the top again?

If you've read my previous articles, if I was the head of the WWE Creative team, I would've turned him heel and make the Balor Club a top heel faction on the main roster.

Balor had a very lackluster 2018, but this year his booking has been far better. From challenging the Beast at Royal Rumble to winning the Intercontinental title from Bobby Lashley, Finn Balor is making his way back to the top of the mountain slowly.

We've all seen him as the smiling Babyface ever since he made his debut on the main roster, but this is the same guy who formed one of the biggest Heel faction in the history of pro wrestling, the Bullet Club.

Having Balor turn heel and become Mr. Money in the Bank would be the best thing that could get his main roster career back on track. Who doesn't want to see the Demon King take on the Kingslayer!

#3 Samoa Joe

Will Joe get his much-deserved push?
Will Joe get his much-deserved push?

Much like Finn Balor, Samoa Joe's 2018 wasn't a great year in his career. His feud with AJ Styles for the WWE Championship had great potential but repeatedly losing to him didn't do any good for Joe.

From being the first wrestler to win the NXT Championship twice, it's sad to see Joe yet to win a main roster title. This guy deserves so much more.

Joe has a great presence on the screen. Not only he's an amazing wrestler and athlete, but his mic skills are also top notch. If booked properly, Joe could be one of the biggest heels WWE has ever had.

Making him win the Money in the Bank briefcase would be a good way to make him relevant again. With him possessing the briefcase, fans are sure to witness some great moments.

There's no doubt that his cash-in would come at the most opportunistic time possible and he'll be ruthless in making the champion pass out to the Coquina Clutch.
