Strowman & Lashley lit things up on tonight's Raw!

Things got heated between Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley on tonight's episode of Raw after both superstars went through the LED boards and caused the stage to blow up.

The first day of the Paul Heyman regime started with a bang. Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley locked horns in a falls count anywhere match following their cringe-worthy tug-of-war last week. The action soon spilt out to the stage area, Lashley was ready to deliver a spear to Strowman but not before the latter drove him through the LED boards.

The stage exploded after both superstars broke their way through the LED screens. EMT's attended to both superstars and took them to a local medical facility. WWE announced that Bobby Lashley is resting comfortably while taking further medical assistance, but Braun Strowman has suffered a ruptured spleen.

It's been a while since we've seen such segments in the WWE and let's take a trip down memory lane to revisit four of the most explosive moments in WWE history.

#4 John Cena's time in the spotlight

He was literally IN the spotlight!
He was literally IN the spotlight!

John Cena found himself exploiting a love-triangle story between then World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Big Show and, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Cena eventually defeated both Edge & Big Show to win the World title at WrestleMania 25, but this incident happened during a rematch at Backlash 2009.

Cena defended the title against Edge in a Last Man Standing match at Backlash 2009. Edge captured the title for the fifth time in his career after the Big Show interfered in the match and chokeslammed Cena into a spotlight.

The spotlight exploded with Cena inside, and that was enough to keep him down until the referee completed the ten count giving Edge his fifth World Heavyweight title.

It was quite Electrifying indeed!
It was quite Electrifying indeed!

The feud between the Rock & Mankind over the WWF Championship will remain one of the iconic rivalries in the history of the company. Even with WCW trying to ruin the surprise, Mankind's WWF title win remains one of the most surreal moments in history.

Foley defended the title against the Rock in an "I Quit" match at the 1999 Royal Rumble. The Rock came out victorious after using a recording of Mankind saying the words I Quit in an interview.

There was a spot during the match where both superstars were 12ft above the ground beneath the technical area. The Rock nailed a stiff punch on Mankind, causing him to fall on the electric circuits.

The electric circuit exploded with sparks filling the air, and the lights going out. The crowd went crazy after seeing what transpired in front of their eyes.

Jeff Hardy didn't get to celebrate that night!
Jeff Hardy didn't get to celebrate that night!

Jeff Hardy won his first WWE Championship after nearly 14 years since he made his debut. Hardy defeated Triple H & Edge in a triple threat match at Armageddon 2008 to win the title.

However, Hardy found himself at the unfortunate end of a series of accidents including a hit-and-run automobile accident and an accident involving his pyro.

Jeff Hardy was supposed to be a guest in the Cutting Edge show with his 2009 Royal Rumble opponent Edge. While making his way out, a malfunction occurred during Hardy's entrance pyrotechnics, and he got pelted in the face with sparks.

It was revealed to be a part of a storyline with his elder brother Matt Hardy being the perpetrator. However, the way WWE pulled off the segment and the reaction of the live crowd made Hardy's injury look legitimate.

#1 Undertaker embraces the heat

He nearly got burned by his own pyro!
He nearly got burned by his own pyro!

Over the years, the Undertaker has used fire as a weapon to carry out many of his dark deeds. The one who allegedly set Kane's parents on fire almost found himself in the same situation at WWE Elimination Chamber 2010.

The Deadman was making his way out to defend his World Heavyweight Championship in an Elimination Chamber match. During his entrance, he got flared on his face after getting hit by the flames used in his pyro.

The Undertaker had to run towards the ring to minimize the damage. He took off his coat immediately after connecting with the flame but still sustained burns on his chest, which was visible during the match. The Phenom went on to finish the match despite the injury but ended up losing the title to Chris Jericho after interference from Shawn Michaels.
