Since Becky Lynch publicly confirmed speculation that she is dating Seth Rollins, WWE’s decision-makers have taken advantage of their real-life relationship by using the couple in a storyline on Raw.

The on-screen story began on June 23 at WWE Stomping Grounds, where Lynch helped her partner retain his Universal Championship after her rival, special guest referee Lacey Evans, refused to complete the 3-count every time Rollins pinned Baron Corbin in the PPV’s main event.

It has now been confirmed that Rollins & Lynch will join forces at WWE Extreme Rules on July 14 to defend the Universal Championship and Raw Women’s Championship against Corbin & Evans in a ‘Winners Take All’ Extreme Rules tag team match.

On paper, "The Beastslayer" is more equipped to deal with a tag team scenario than Lynch following his exploits as a member of The Shield, but did you know that “The Man” has also had her fair share of male tag team partners throughout her career?

In this article, let’s take a look at four male WWE Superstars who she teamed with before linking up with Rollins.

#4 Sami Zayn

The first season of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge saw Becky Lynch team up with Sami Zayn to take on Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss.

Unlike the second season, which allowed every tag team to compete in at least four matches before the semi-finals and final, the first season had a knockout format from the very beginning, which meant that losing duos were immediately eliminated.

Sadly for Lynch & Zayn, aka The Ginger Snaps, their alliance only lasted for one 11-minute match, as Bliss landed a spectacular Twisted Bliss from the top of Strowman’s shoulders to pick up the victory over Lynch.

The encounter proved to be the end of the Mixed Match Challenge for Zayn, but his tag partner was given a surprising route back into the competition at the semi-final stage.

#3 Bobby Roode

Despite being knocked out of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge in the first round by Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch returned to the competition at the semi-final stage to team up with Bobby Roode.

Why? Because Roode’s partner throughout the tournament, Charlotte Flair, required dental surgery during the week of the semi-final match against Monday Night Raw duo Finn Balor & Sasha Banks, so Lynch stepped in to help out her friend.

It looked as though the popular duo of Balor & Banks would pick up the victory and go on to reach the final, but Lynch surprisingly rolled up “The Boss” to earn the win for her team in a 13-minute match.

“The Irish Lass Kicker” then gave her Mixed Match Challenge place back to the returning Flair, who teamed with Roode in a losing effort against The Miz & Asuka in the final.

#2 John Cena

John Cena had a three-week spell with no filming commitments between late December 2018 and mid-January 2019, so he decided to return to WWE for a short run to help elevate some younger Superstars.

During that time, he lost via pinfall to Finn Balor in an attempt to make the Irishman seem like a credible threat against Brock Lesnar in their Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble, while he also teamed with Becky Lynch against Andrade & Zelina Vega on SmackDown Live.

The memorable match saw Lynch throw Cena out of the ring in the closing stages before countering a pinfall attempt from Vega to make her tap out to the Dis-Arm-Her.

Following the match, Cena offered a handshake to “The Man” at ringside, but she opted to mock him instead by placing her hand in front of her face before doing the ‘You can’t see me’ gesture.

#1 Sunil Singh

Way before Rebecca Quin became Becky Lynch, she teamed with Gurv Sihra & Sid Sylum to defeat El Phantasmo, Kyle O'Reilly & Nikki Matthews at an ECCW event in March 2006 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

Back then, Sihra was a 21-year-old rookie who was just starting to make his name in the wrestling business, while Lynch was a 19-year-old who had only been wrestling for two years.

Fast forward 13 years, Sihra now competes in WWE as Sunil Singh and Lynch has cemented her status as one of the most influential female Superstars of all time following her remarkable run to the main event of WrestleMania 35.

The two have never crossed paths on WWE television – and probably never will – but it is still interesting to note that they once teamed together.

And not only that, but they defeated The Undisputed Era’s Kyle O’Reilly!
