One of the most highly anticipated pay-per-views of the year, WWE Clash of Champions is just around the corner. Scheduled for September 15, 2019, the event will be live from Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

WWE has already announced nine high voltage matches for the event, including Seth Rollins' title defence of his Universal Championship title against Braun Strowman. The duo will be in action for their defence of the RAW Tag Team title as well when they face off against the team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

In other top-profile clashes, Sasha Banks will be taking on Becky Lynch for the RAW Women's Championship while Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Also, the finals of the King of the Ring tournament is scheduled to take place at the pay-per-view and thus, given such a high profile match card, one could expect a lot of thrilling action on the cards.

With the pay-per-view less than a few weeks away, here are four major predictions.

#4 Ricochet becomes the King of the Ring

The semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament is scheduled for next week while the finals of the competition are set to take place at Clash of Champions. Given how things have unfolded recently, Ricochet looks almost guaranteed to win this coveted tournament.

Yes, while Chad Gable and Elias have qualified to the semis from the Blue Brand, Ricochet, Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin will battle it out in a triple threat match for a place in the finals next week on RAW.

Ever since the former US Champion took out Drew McIntyre, speculations of Ricochet winning the tournament started making rounds all over the Internet. Furthermore, Chad Gable pulling off a huge upset by knocking out Andrade this week on SmackDown might just see

#3 Sasha Banks becomes the new RAW Women's Champion

Sasha Banks is scheduled to clash with Becky Lynch for Raw's Women Championship at Clash of Champions. To be honest, chances of The Boss walking out as the new Women's Championship is higher than ever.

A title run could be the least Vince McMahon might have promised Banks after her meltdown at WrestleMania 35. Furthermore, rumor has it that WWE could be planning a Sasha Banks vs Bayley in a 'Champion vs Champion' clash at Survivor Series, thus, The Boss winning the title at Clash of Champions is certainly on the cards.

Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see how WWE goes on about building a storyline for Banks. More importantly because they cannot undermine the face of the Women's division, Becky Lynch by handing her a clean loss at the event.

#2 Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler become the new Raw Tag Team Champions

The duo of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler became the number one contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles after winning the Tag Team Turmoil match a few weeks ago on the Red Brand.

Furthermore, the recent reports state that Paul Heyman has been the mastermind behind the duo's major push and it is highly likely that they march on to become the new Tag Team Championships.

On the other hand, the duo of Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins are current RAW Tag Team Champions, yet, given the dynamics between them, the duo carrying the titles for a considerable amount of time does not look likely.

Thus, WWE could have their egos and differences cost them the titles, and a potential heel turn for The Monster among Men could also be on the cards.

#1 The Fiend pays a surprise visit

The Fiend could pay a surprise visit at the end of the Universal Championship match.

Rumor has it that The Fiend could face the Universal Champion (Seth Rollins or Braun Strowman) at Hell in a Cell. As a matter of fact, Bray Wyatt addressed the same on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW.

Thus, creative pushing Bray Wyatt in the main event scene after Clash of Champions is all but guaranteed. However, the breadcrumbs for the same could be laid down by the WWE on September 15 at Clash of Champions.

Creative could have The Fiend show up after the end of the Universal Championship match to lay waste to the winner, laying down the foundation for a classic feud for the following weeks.

This would not only add that element of shock and surprise to the pay-per-view but would also be a good way to end the show on a high note.
