4 Reasons why Seth Rollins should betray RAW to join Triple H's NXT

Will Seth Rollins betray RAW for NXT?
Will Seth Rollins betray RAW for NXT?

A few weeks ago, Triple H presented Seth Rollins with a fantastic opportunity when he asked the former Universal Champion to join NXT. Rollins didn't have a clear answer at the time, but this could be the beginning of a major storyline in WWE.

Survivor Series is right around the corner and WWE will want to make this pay-per-view as interesting as possible. NXT has already declared war against RAW and SmackDown and with this, Survivor Series 2019 is looking far more interesting than any of its previous editions. Rollins will be serving as the captain of this year's RAW Survivor Series team, and this could be taking place for a big reason.

WWE has already teased that Rollins could betray RAW and join his mentor, Triple H, in NXT, but will 'The Architect' do so? That's a question that remains to be answered. With that in mind, here are four reasons why Seth Rollins should rejoin NXT.

#4 Seth Rollins has always performed best under Triple H's guidance

Others have already said this and it bears repeating: 'The Game' has played a major role in making Seth Rollins into the Superstar he is today. Whenever Rollins was confused as to what the future held for him, he would go to Triple H to ask for answers and would return with championship belts around his waist.

When Rollins betrayed The Shield to align himself with Triple H and The Authority, the move proved fruitful, as it turned his career around completely. He went on to become a key player in WWE and 'The Game' deserves much of the credit. If it hadn't been for Triple H, Rollins would not have found such quick success atop the singles rankings. These two Superstars make a fantastic team and if Rollins betrays RAW to join NXT, he can rejuvenate his career once again.

#3 NXT needs star power

Things have drastically changed in WWE over the last several months. NXT is no longer just a developmental brand for WWE to train its talent. The Black and Gold Brand now has a television deal and appears weekly before a live television audience on the USA Network. NXT has now become WWE's third brand and is on par with both RAW and SmackDown.

Despite its new weekly live television time slot, the majority of wrestling fans are indeed unaware of the potential NXT has in terms of providing great matchups and interesting storylines. While fans praise Triple H for his incredible backstage work at NXT, casual fans still need a reason to tune in to the show every single week and Seth Rollins might just provide that reason.

'The Game' brought Finn Balor back to the Black and Yellow Brand. Although Finn Balor does bring instant name recognition to NXT, he alone can't benefit the brand like Seth Rollins can. WWE needs to add more star power to NXT and bringing in a name like Seth Rollins can do just that. Having Seth Rollins join NXT would bring along a large number of fans that do not tune in regularly.

#2 His main roster run has become stale

Over the past few months, Seth Rollins has spent the majority of his days as the Universal Champion. His incredible title victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 is still one of the most memorable moments of the show. However, the following months weren't nearly as memorable for Rollins. The crowd slowly started turning on Rollins and 'The Architect' addressed this fact on Monday Night RAW when he pointed out that many fans were happy when he lost his title to The Fiend at Crown Jewel this past month. He wasn't lying either. It's painfully obvious.

The fans are no longer as invested in Rollins as they used to be. They expect something new from his character and WWE's Creative Team has failed to provide that. 'The Kingslayer' has already faced almost the entire RAW roster and it doesn't seem that there is an interesting storyline left for him on the show. However, things could change if he joins NXT.

Young talents are waiting to feud with a Superstar like Rollins and in the Black and Yellow Brand, Rollins could also challenge for the NXT Championship. A feud with Adam Cole could prove to be outstanding and would certainly add interest to both NXT and Seth Rollins.

#1 A heel turn is what his gimmick demands

Seth Rollins has been working as one of WWE's top babyfaces over the past three years. A run of three years is quite long, especially in today's era. This could be one of the reasons why the fans turned against him. Even though Rollins does his best as a babyface, almost anybody can lose interest in something after seeing the same thing over and over again for years on end.

'The Beastslayer' needs to become more interesting, and a heel turn can do that. A change in character would allow Rollins to do things he can't do as a face while also drawing interest from fans once again. If Rollins betrays RAW for Triple H and NXT, he will once again become one of WWE's top heels. If this does indeed happen, look for it to occur at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, as it would rock the wrestling world to its core in front of a huge audience.

Moving forward, Rollins can serve as a mainstream attraction in NXT and after spending some time there, WWE could bring him back to the main roster during next year's Superstar Shakeup or whenever they see fit.
