WWE organizes at least one pay-per-view each month. These events are used to settle big rivalries and feuds. Some of the most entertaining and important matches are saved for these events. These are so important that even Raw and SmackDown are used to build matches and storylines for this events.

Over the years, we have seen several pay-per-views with their own uniqueness and stipulations, which makes them stand out from the rest. A particular pay-per-view tends to repeat on an annual basis and that is why we have seen Superstars who have practically owned a pay-per-view.

Their performance was so exceptional that they have started to get noticed for that event and generates a prominent hype for themselves whenever that pay-per-view would be approaching. This article is not only about positive performance.

A Superstar can become salient with their negative performance as well.

#4 John Cena - SummerSlam

John Cena
John Cena

John Cena is probably the biggest asset of WWE right now. Despite his part-time status, his star power has not decreased even a bit and he is still capable of selling an entire arena just by appearing on that show for a few minutes. He has had many memorable moments in his wrestling career spanning over 15 years.

He is known to have great feuds with many wrestlers, incredible championship reigns, breath-taking performances in many stipulations and matches. But, even then nothing can top his record in Summerslam. From 2011 to 2016, Cena did not win a match at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

His latest win came in 2017 when he defeated Baron Corbin in the opening match. Before that, he won as part of the Team WWE when they defeated Nexus back in 2010. For 6 consecutive years (2010-16), he lost matches at the hands of CM Punk, Big Show, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles.

He has a win-loss record of 5-9, which is the worst record in this pay-per-view for any wrestler who has participated in as many matches. Although this is a record that no one would want in their resume, this article is not just about positive popularity. Cena is known for this SummerSlam's record.

#3 Kofi Kingston - Royal Rumble

Looking at his current spot in the roster, Kofi Kingston is not exactly a serious contender to win this match, but he makes the most of the time he is being given in the battle royal. Every year, Kingston does some kind of hi-flying venture to save himself from elimination. It can vary from performing a handstand to mounting on Big-E's shoulder.

You know something is missing from a Royal Rumble match until you see Kofi pulling off highly-demanding stunts to save himself from being eliminated, despite having been thrown outside the ring over the top rope.

It is a true example of how to make an impact in any match even without winning it. Kofi has not even reached in last 5 wrestlers in his career but, the quality of entertainment that he provides in between the match is amazing as it makes the otherwise serious environment lively.

#2 Randy Orton - Survivor Series

Randy Orton has received lots of nicknames over his career in WWE like The Legend Killer, Viper or The Apex Predator. But, I feel there is another quite deserving nickname which is sort of underrated, Mr. Survivor Series. Orton's performance in Survivor Series is incredible and many records against his name.

He has eliminated 15 participants in total, which is the most for any wrestler. He even has the second-most Survivor Series match appearance (10) and has the most number of victories as sole survivor (3). If that was not enough, he is also undefeated in WWE championship matches at the pay-per-view.

These are ridiculous records that many do not know about. Even though these victories in traditional 5-on-5 elimination matches does not do much to the storyline moving forward, these victories have helped in shaping Orton what he is today and has also backed him in portraying himself as the face of the company over the years.

#1 The Undertaker - WrestleMania

You are not a true WWE fan if you did not see this coming. The first thing that comes to mind about The Undertaker after his striking persona is his WrestleMania record. This is the most popular streak in the history of wrestling and it now stands at 24-2.

Over the years at WrestleMania, he has had some amazing matches and storylines with many top stars of the company. No one can forget the encounter between him and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25 and 26. Then there is WrestleMania 30 when his streak eventually got broken and left the whole wrestling world in shock.

Undertaker is a true living legend (though his gimmick would disagree) and WrestleMania is his show in every way. Even though he no longer has his streak intact, he will always be remembered for his matches at WrestleMania. He is way past his prime and will soon hang up his boots, and I can say with conviction that WrestleMania will not be the same anymore without his grand entrance and persona.
