4 WWE Superstars who could be surprise inclusions on Team RAW for Survivor Series

Will John Cena make an appearance at Survivor Series? Or will the Eater of Worlds rise once again?
Will John Cena make an appearance at Survivor Series? Or will the Eater of Worlds rise once again?

Survivor Series is the one night of the year where WWE's brands, RAW and SmackDown, battle in head-to-head competition. So far, 8 matches have been announced for the 2018 show.

#1 Men's Team Raw vs Team SmackDown - Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and two TBD (Raw) vs Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Shane McMahon, Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio (SmackDown)

#2 Women's Team Raw vs Team SmackDown - Alexa Bliss and four TBD (Raw) vs Charlotte Flair, Carmella, Naomi, Asuka, and Sonya Deville (SmackDown)

#3 WWE Cruiserweight Championship - Buddy Murphy (c) vs Mustafa Ali

#4 Tag Team Champions - AOP (Raw) vs The Bar (SmackDown)

#5 Mid-card Champions - Seth Rollins (Raw, IC title) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (SmackDown, US title)

#6 Women's Champions - Ronda Rousey (Raw) vs Becky Lynch (SmackDown)

#7 Heavyweight Champions - Brock Lesnar (Raw, Universal Champion) vs AJ Styles (SmackDown, WWE Champion)

#8 10-on-10 tag team's elimination match - Team Raw vs Team SmackDown - five TBD (RAW) vs The New Day, The Usos and 3 TBD (SmackDown)

While the blue brand has revealed all 5 superstars who will form team SmackDown at Survivor Series 2018, team RAW is yet to reveal its final two members. Dean Ambrose, Bobby Lashley, and Finn Balor are favourites to grab those spots, but WWE could spring a surprise by naming one of these 4 superstars on the team.

#4 John Cena

After all, he is a free agent!
After all, he is a free agent!

John Cena has been the face of WWE for over a decade, but recently has shifted his focus to his projects outside WWE. However, Cena could afford to make a one-off appearance at the inter brand warfare by becoming a part of team RAW.

He had made a special appearance for team SmackDown in 2017, and could do something similar in 2018. Also, he withdrew from the Crown Jewel event and the WWE World Cup, and could make up for it by wrestling in the traditional Survivor Series match.

#3 Apollo Crews

Crews could benefit a lot by participating in the Survivor Series match-up

Apollo Crews has been gaining some momentum on the red brand after leaving Titus Worldwide. He defeated The Modern Day Maharaja and former WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal, in under 3 minutes on the last episode of RAW in the United Kingdom. Crews could benefit a lot by participating in the Survivor Series match-up.

Not only would he get a chance to face off against legends like Rey Mysterio, Shane McMahon, and Daniel Bryan, but he would also get a bigger stage to display his athleticism and in-ring abilities, which have gone under-appreciated thus far.

He could probably defeat Jinder Mahal once again on the go-home show of Monday Night RAW to seal his place in the match. Crews has the calibre to become one of the top stars of the flagship show, and even getting eliminated first from that match would elevate his character.

#2 Elias

Elias is probably the most popular guy in the WWE Universe who always garners a pop from the audience.

After his recent face turn on RAW, Elias could be the hottest thing on the flagship show. Despite his popularity, he has been criminally left off PPV match cards, and has not been involved in a major feud.

His last PPV appearance was a meaningless tag team match where he teamed up with Kevin Owens to face-off against John Cena and Bobby Lashley. Elias lost that match and has been floundering on RAW ever since.

A spot on the men's Survivor Series team and an opportunity to be in the ring with several top stars will cement him as the top character of RAW. Elias was a part of the kick-off show of Survivor Series in 2017, where he defeated Matt Hardy, but he could make the main card if chosen as a member of team RAW.

#1 Bray Wyatt

Will The Eater of Worlds finally return?
Will The Eater of Worlds finally return?

Bray Wyatt has been away from WWE TV ever since his separation from Matt Hardy. Perhaps, WWE have been rebuilding his character, or are waiting for the perfect moment to get him back on TV. If the second option is the reason why Wyatt has been off TV, then this is the moment Wyatt should return.

He could immediately make a statement by performing well at Survivor Series, elevating himself to the top of the card. Bray could also be portrayed as a face character, and could even form a stable with Braun Strowman to dominate the flagship show.
