#2: Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura became the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions

WWE Extreme Rules opened with a fun tag team contest between The New Day and the team of Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura. The SmackDown Tag Team Titles were on the line, and thanks to Cesaro's victory during last week's episode of WWE SmackDown, a Tables Match stipulation was set for The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

This advantage definitely paid off for the new Champions, as Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura reversed the tables and put Kofi through an actual table to become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Poor Kofi went through two tables, while Cesaro & Nakamura celebrated their rightful victory at WWE Extreme Rules. Cesaro & Nakamura have a fanbase that always wanted WWE to recognize the duo's talent and push them to the top of the company's Tag Team Division.

Moreover, the title change felt necessary at this stage. Kofi & Big E have been the SmackDown Tag Team Champions several times, and as of now, WWE hasn't done anything extraordinary with their male tag team talents.

So Cesaro & Nakamura's victory during The Horror Show at Extreme Rules not only gives them a fresh start, but it also gives us hope for a less "horrifying" future as far as SmackDown's Tag Team Division is concerned.
