What is going to happen at TLC?

While it's not one of the "big four" pay-per-views of the year, TLC is usually one of those events where fans will witness quite a bit of carnage. It is also one of the only PPVs with a genuine unpredictability factor, due to the nature of how a tables, ladders, and chairs match works.

If nothing else, this is going to be a pay per view worth watching, especially given the multitude of possible stipulations, but who will be the participants? Unfortunately for the WWE Universe, the company has stayed very quiet on what will play out on next week's pay per view and that is going to force everyone to fill in the blanks while we wait.

With that being said and the final PPV on the 2019 calendar quickly approaching, here are five possible matches we could see. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to tell us what match you think we'll see at TLC.

#5 The Fiend vs Daniel Bryan vs The Miz

Daniel Bryan meeting The Miz and The Fiend?. Who wins?

There's something about facing The Fiend that changes you.

At least that's how things have played out with Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan, who have all seemingly undergone some kind of mental metamorphosis after showdowns with The Fiend. Unfortunately for Bryan, it looks like he is poised for another matchup with the sinister creature, which is why WWE would be well-served to make this encounter different.

With The Miz now playing a role in Daniel Bryan's feud with The Fiend, it makes sense for WWE to make it a Triple Threat match for The Universal Title. At least that way, The Fiend can use mind games to pit them against each other, show off the full capabilities of his powers and in the process give WWE a lot of booking options in the process.

In the end, another Bryan versus The Fiend match just doesn't seem as appealing as a triple threat does now that The Miz in the picture. In fact, it seems to be a clear indication that he will be utilized during this feud in one way or another.

#4 Baron Corbin vs Roman Reigns

What happens when Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns go at it one more time?
What happens when Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns go at it one more time?

It's no secret that WWE wants to keep Roman Reigns in the undercard for as long as possible, especially since it seems to be working to his benefit, and that means Baron Corbin will likely be his next opponent. Either that or WWE does something out of left field, which seems very unlikely with how little time is left before the show.

WWE needs to stack this card as much as possible, so fans can probably expect to see a stipulation added to this match. It would definitely make another encounter between the two Superstars more interesting.

For example, what if WWE were to put Corbin's kingship on the line in a ladder match against Reigns? Not only would that serve as enough ante to get the WWE Universe interested in the match, it also opens up the possibility of a seismic shift in the company's landscape, which should have fans following along closely .

In the end, Roman Reigns defeating Baron Corbin for his King of the Ring status would be a nice little outcome to see. It would also be a great momentum builder to finally capapult Reigns closer to the top of the card before The Road to WrestleMania 36.

#3 Drew McIntyre vs Randy Orton

What happens when The Viper locks up with The Scottish Pyschopath?

While this might not be the mega dream match WWE wanted at the TLC pay per view, it is the most likely option give what the company has done so far. Beyond that, the match represents a changing of the guard moment that could do a lot to help revive Drew McIntyre's career and give him a lot of momentum heading into 2020.

The best part is that WWE has been booking this very slowly and methodically, which has really helped to make fans want to see what happens next. Of course one could argue that things got a little too slow at times during their mini feud, but others would say that the slow burn has actually worked to drum up even more interest in the encounter.

Think about it this way. It might not be a dream match or even a match that would be worthy of a upper card spot, but it still represents this cathartic, changing of the guard moment that fans have been waiting for in regards to McIntyre. Also, with how Drew's offense has been showcased over the last few weeks, it could prove to be an very unique matchup.

#2 Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch vs The Kabuki Warriors

It's going to take a very special team to defeat The Kabuki Warriors.
It's going to take a very special team to defeat The Kabuki Warriors.

The Kabuki Warriors have been unstoppable since taking the tag team titles away from Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross and it's difficult to pinpoint when their reign could possibly come to an end. Interestingly enough, current advertisements for the upcoming TLC pay-per-view pits the Japanese duo against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, which is a puzzling mix to say the least.

In all honesty, a lot of fans seem tired of seeing Flair and Lynch crossing paths, but that only seems to be when they are working against each other. In fact, when they are working together, fans do seem to enjoy the match more. Maybe that is due to how well the two play off of each other, but it's still a way to make a match more enjoyable.

Another interesting thing of note about this match is the fact that it's advertised as a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match, which marks the first time in history that WWE has done this. Maybe WWE could even use the stipulation to get the titles off of The Kabuki Warriors and put them on the unlikely duo of Lynch and Flair.

In the end, it would be an interesting storyline to play with and could lead to a lot of great options in the future. It could also be one of many legitimate shocks throughout the night if they won the title, thus why there is even more reason to do it.

#1 Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens vs Bobby Lashley vs Rusev

Will WWE do anything regarding the WWE Title picture at TLC?
Will WWE do anything regarding the WWE Title picture at TLC?

Brock Lesnar is very unlikely to be appearing at the upcoming TLC pay-per-view, but that doesn't mean WWE can't feature the most worthy contenders for his prize in some form or fashion. In fact, with challengers like Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley and Rusev all at the top of the card, why not turn it into a number one contender's match?

Not only will this give WWE a lot of room when it comes to who to protect and who to sacrifice during the finish, it also gives it an unpredictable feel that will no doubt help sell tickets. It will also be a great way to make fans forget about the WWE Championship not being defended during the event, which will surely be appreciated.

Maybe WWE will even turn it into a TLC match to up the ante and ensure a maximum amount of carnage! Again, it might not be a proper title match, but the intensity, the unpredictability and what's at stake could all come together and make this a very interesting encounter for all four wrestlers and everyone watching.
