For years and years now, the WWE Universe has been witnessing John Cena in a beloved babyface character and there's no doubt that he plays it to perfection. But there has been a section of the fans, especially the hardcore ones, that have expressed their desire to see the 16-time World Champion turn heel.

Now there have been several moments in the last decade where WWE could have pulled the trigger and turned their biggest babyface into a heel, but due to one reason or the other the company chose not to do that. However, there have been multiple teases, the most recent one coming at last year's WrestleMania where Cena came out in his old avatar as the Doctor of Thuganomics.

The Leader of Cenation will be battling "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36, and just like the last time the two met at the Show of Shows, this time as well Wyatt is hell-bent on exposing the "real" Cena to the world. There has been this theory of Superstars going through a character change after a battle against The Fiend, and if that's true, this might just be the correct moment to pull off a huge surprise and turn Cena heel.

They should not go ahead with the full-fledged turn, but it would be ideal if Cena loses to Wyatt and starts showing signs of giving in to the dark side. That could lead to some intriguing storylines in the months to come.
