There are currently more couples in WWE than ever before. With past reality shows like Total Divas and Total Bellas, some of these couples were more visible to fans than others.
Many couples who met in WWE have gone on to have long relationships which have eventually led to marriage and children. The list includes top names such as Brock Lesnar and Sable, Daniel Bryan, Brie Bella, and even The Undertaker and Michelle McCool. However, this isn't always the case for every couple.
Superstar relationships are mostly formed while the individuals involved are dealing with the whirlwind schedules that come with being WWE Superstars. This means that some of these relationships are not built to last.
Over the years, wrestling couples have come and gone and there are many that fans have forgotten about, including a handful from the current WWE roster.
#6 WWE Hall of Famer Edge
The Ruthless Aggression Era saw Lita getting into an affair with Edge, cheating on her then-boyfriend Matt Hardy. While details about the affair were not known to many, things turned south when Hardy decided to voice his frustrations about the Lita/Edge relationship on the internet. Matt was then fired, re-hired and put into what was one of the best love triangle storylines in WWE history with Lita and Edge.
Vince McMahon's decision to pair up Edge and Lita on television worked wonders for Edge's heel persona. While the exact details of the couple breaking up have not been made public, it is believed that the awkwardness and pressure led to the two parting ways both in kayfabe and behind-the-scenes. Edge has since then moved into a relationship with Beth Phoenix, whom he married in 2016.
#5 Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan is currently coming off a rivalry against The Judgement Day, with possible chances of her teaming up with Alexa Bliss from now on. However, there was a time when Morgan was a rookie in NXT and it was there that she found a friend in former Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore.
Liv Morgan and Enzo Amore got to know each other ahead of their time in WWE after working together at Hooters and it was Amore who helped Morgan land a tryout with WWE in the first place. Carmella was the on-screen manager for Enzo Amore and Big Cass throughout their time in NXT. However, behind the curtain Carmella was dating Cass, while Enzo was in a relationship with Liv Morgan.
The pair seemed like a cute couple for several years, until it was rumored that "The Certified G" had cheated on his long-time girlfriend. Shortly after, Morgan and Amore officially went their separate ways. Liv has since made a point of declaring to fans that she is now single and loving life at present.
#4 Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke is a former bodybuilder who has been looking to push her brand of "Flex Appeal" forward for a number of years. Some fans feel that Brooke has been consistently overlooked by the company. To her credit, Brooke has always continued to put in the hard work to improve as a performer, which has won her the support of the audience.
Although several female wrestlers around her - such as Alexa Bliss and Carmella - made their relationships public knowledge throughout their time in NXT, Brooke opted to keep her own relationship private.
Whilst coming through the ranks in developmental, Dana Brooke was in a brief relationship with former world champion Dolph Ziggler. The couple wasn't together for very long, and Brooke went on to enter a relationship with fellow bodybuilder Dallas McCarver, who very sadly passed away in 2017.
Some time back, Brooke was romantically linked to former world champion Dave Batista, after the couple teased a relationship on social media. Brooke even received a push after the tweets went viral.She is currently in a relationship with MMA fighter Ulysses Diaz.
#3 Zelina Vega
Zelina Vega is currently one of the best personalities in the women's division, but the former NXT star is also a fantastic wrestler, something that she often puts to the test against her real-life husband Aleister Black.
The couple married back in 2018 in what was a shock announcement from the company, since it was well-known that Vega had previously been in a relationship with former WWE star Austin Aries. Vega and Aries dated for a number of years before Aries came to WWE and the couple were able to work together.
Aries wrestled on NXT and 205 Live before leaving the company. Vega then made it clear shortly afterwards that the couple's relationship had come to an end - posting some quite personal tweets, which have since been deleted.
Zelina Vega and her current husband Aleister Black met while feuding with one another on NXT and were seemingly able to hit it off straight away. The couple are now in different promotions as Black recently signed with AEW.
#2 Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre has made some headlines in his relationship over the years and whilst he's currently married to Kaitlyn Frohnapfel and has been since 2016, this is not the first time that McIntyre has been married.
When McIntyre first came to WWE back in 2007, he took a liking to a female wrestler named Tiffany was also under contact with the company. The real-life Taryn Terrell was one of the last eight competitors in the 2007 Diva Search. Following the competition, Terrell was hired by the company and sent to FCW to train.
Terrell later made her debut on the main roster as Tiffany, serving as the Assistant General Manager to Theodore Long. It was during this time that she met Drew McIntyre and the couple hit it off. McIntyre announced his engagement to Terrell in 2009, before the couple married in 2010. However, the pair would divorce just a year later.
In August 2010, it was reported that WWE had suspended Terrell indefinitely following a domestic incident with her husband. Terrell was released by the promotion two months after her initial suspension. Terrell later went on to work for Impact Wrestling, where she was known by her real name. Taryn Terrell has since moved on to marry motorcycle stuntman Joseph Dryden and the couple have a daughter together named Emerson.
#1 Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley may have come across as an untouchable beast on television, but like every other wrestler, he's only human and over a decade ago he had his head turned by Kristal Marshall. Lashley and Kristall's paths first crossed when they were both employed by Vince McMahon back in 2007. Lashley later left the company in 2008 and headed over to TNA where Kristal joined him, becoming part of his storylines under the ring name Kristal Lashley.
Kristal herself commented on the whirlwind nature of her romance with Lashley in a 2018 interview.
"That [relationship] came about… let's see… at the beginning of 2007. I'd say about, no, no, that happened WrestleMania 2007. That's when we started dating and that happened quick! Lots of things happened quickly at that time."
The couple never married, but they were engaged. The pair have a son together named Myles, who was born in 2008, just a year after Lashley's initial WWE release. The couple also have a daughter named Naomi, who was born in 2011. When Lashley quit TNA to pursue an MMA career in 2010, Kristal followed him out of the company and hasn't done much wrestling-related since. The couple broke up not long after their departure from TNA.
