Every year, we get to witness highly anticipated matches that we thought we would never get to see.

The 2019th edition of the WWE Superstar Shake-up finally wrapped up this past Tuesday. This year's edition saw some huge names switch brands such, as Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, AJ Styles, The Miz etc. The next few months will be quite interesting regarding how these changes affect future storylines.

However, just like every edition of the Superstar Shake-up, this year's two-night event has also opened the door to a lot of possible dream matches. Superstars like AJ Styles and Finn Balor who switched brands for the first time since the reintroduction of the draft, have a wide array of dream opponents already lined up. Just a mere thought of AJ Styles vs. RIcochet or "Demon" Balor vs. Jeff Hardy, is enough to send chills down one's spine.

So, we will definitely get to witness a lot of dream matches in the coming weeks and months. It's equally important that WWE Creative books, both the feuds and matches effectively.

So, without further ado, here are 5 highly anticipated matches that we can see over the next few months.

#5 Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman

The Long-awaited Joe/Strowman feud has finally kicked off.
The Long-awaited Joe/Strowman feud has finally kicked off.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, considering that the feud was already teased on the Post-Wrestlemania edition of Smackdown Live. An angle was also planned for Raw this week where Joe would have joined the Raw roster. However, it had to be delayed as the Samoan Submission Machine wasn't healthy enough to make the show earlier this week.

However, the feud has now kicked off and it's about time the WWE Universe gets to witness a spectacular Monster vs. Machine match. Although Strowman and Joe have crossed paths before, they have never squared off in a singles match on WWE TV.

It will surely be an interesting bout and we can finally see Braun Strowman winning his first singles title in WWE.

#4 John Cena vs. Lars Sullivan

Lars Sullivan vs. John Cena was reportedly in the works for Wrestlemania 35.
Lars Sullivan vs. John Cena was reportedly in the works for Wrestlemania 35.

Over the past 3 months, we have heard countless times about a Lars Sullivan/John Cena feud heading into the Show of Shows, WrestleMania 35. However, when The Freak had an anxiety attack, it caused the program to be postponed indefinitely. The Leader of the Cenation was never going to appear at Royal Rumble so an angle where Sullivan would have attacked him prior to the event would have been an effective way to initiate the feud.

Fast forward to the post-WrestleMania Raw, Lars Sullivan finally made his main roster debut by attacking Kurt Angle. The Freak then continued making appearances and laying out Superstars. It doesn't take a genius to figure out where this angle might lead to eventually.

The most logical way to proceed would be to have John Cena standing up to Lars Sullivan. The match can either take place at SummerSlam or later, depending on Cena's schedule. The match (if it happens) will definitely cement Lars as a top superstar just like Lesnar, when he defeated The Rock at SummerSlam 2002.

#3 Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar

Bobby Lashley has been pushing hard for this match, as of late.
Bobby Lashley has been pushing hard for this match, as of late.

Until last year, the possibility of seeing this match in the squared circle was quite low. However, Lashley's WWE return and his initial program with Roman Reigns strongly implied that a Beast vs. Dominator bout was on the horizon, and would take place as early as SummerSlam 2018.

However, those were just speculations and it was in fact Roman Reigns who ended up facing The Beast at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Lashley, on the other hand, was demoted to the mid-card scene.

Now that Lesnar is possibly out of the Universal Title picture for the time being, maybe creative can find a way to make the dream match between him and Lashley happen sometime this year. Lashley himself wants the match and has recently started talking about it. Lesnar never minds a good payday, so there should be nothing stopping WWE from booking the match once The Beast returns to WWE.

#2 Finn Balor vs. Daniel Bryan

Timing is perfect for a Balor vs. Bryan dream match.
Timing is perfect for a Balor vs. Bryan dream match.

The extraordinary man who can do extraordinary things, Finn Balor finally made the jump to team blue this week. Balor made his main roster debut as part of the Raw brand in 2016 and has stayed there until earlier this week. Now that the former Bullet Club leader is finally on Smackdown Live, there is a huge list of opponents that he needs to face.

A rematch from NXT against Shinsuke Nakamura, a dream match between the "Demon" and the charismatic enigma, Jeff Hardy, and the list goes on! However, one particular match that everyone should be talking about is Finn Balor vs. Daniel Bryan. Until last year, there wasn't even a slight chance of this match happening.

However, now that Bryan is out of retirement, has adopted a safe in-ring style and is on the same brand as Finn Balor, the feud can kickoff any second! A good ol' technical wrestling match between Independent Circuit alumni never disappoints and in the case of veterans like Balor and Bryan, it can be an instant classic.

#1 AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins

For the first time in nearly 3 years, Styles and Rollins are on the same brand.
For the first time in nearly 3 years, Styles and Rollins are on the same brand.

You should have seen it coming when you started reading this article. Styles vs. Rollins is a dream match that fans have been dying to see inside a WWE ring. Styles made his WWE debut in 2016 and within a few months, the Superstar Shake-up took place, placing The Architect and The Phenomenal One on separate brands.

It wasn't until this week when Styles was brought to Monday Night Raw. Now with Seth Rollins being the Universal Champion and AJ Styles being in the constant hunt for the top prize, it's only a matter of time before the two icons of the current era of professional wrestling collide. There are several ways as to how WWE can book the feud. The best approach would be to turn Styles heel.

Regardless, there is money in the feud but proper execution is crucial so that it doesn't fail like the Styles/Nakamura feud. Both of these Superstars are more than capable of tearing the house down and seeing them in the same ring after more than a decade will surely be a treat for the wrestling fans.
