#5. AJ Lee

AJ Lee was one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE during her time, and she stood head and shoulders above many of the other women in the division at the time, both in terms of in-ring talent and character.

AJ was in the WWE at a time when women were still seen as eye-candy, valets and the occasional match to fill space, usually multi-participant tag matches. However, in terms of talent, AJ would be well placed amongst the female revolution that has taken the current WWE women's roster by storm.

AJ had three reigns with the Diva's championships, defeating Kaitlyn for the title and feuding with the likes of the Bella twins and Paige. AJ's initial run with the belt saw her reign for 295 days, the longest reign at the time. She would drop the belt to a debuting Paige, the Monday Night Raw after Wrestlemania XXX after retaining the belt the previous night. AJ Lee and Paige would swap the belt before AJ Lee would lose the belt to Nikki Bella.

Outside of the ring, Lee's character work was quite good, but it was her skills on the microphone that made her stand out, dishing out the harshest of burns, including calling the women's division "cheap, interchangeable, expendable, useless women" and eviscerated the Bella twins by saying "talent isn't a sexually transmitted disease", in reference to Brie and Nikki's high profile relationship with wrestlers.

However, AJ Lee is married to controversial wrestler CM Punk and despite being highly talented and popular with wrestling fans. While rumors claimed that Vince had reached out to AJ Lee before Evolution, she nevertheless did not make an appearance and is just as unlikely as CM Punk is to return to the company.

If she was to return to the WWE, she would be deserving of her spot in the Hall of Fame and being the first woman to headline could be the enticement to lure her back.
