Sami Zayn has undoubtedly been one of the most exciting wrestlers in the WWE in recent years. Since joining the WWE in 2013, the 35-year-old Canadian has endeared himself to the entire wrestling community.
However, prior to his stint in the WWE, Sami Zayn held a different personality and appearance to the one we currently know. He used to wrestle while wearing a mask and that only changed when he joined the WWE.
The one-time Slammy Award winner made his wrestling debut with the International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS) in 2002 under the stage name ‘El Generico’. He went on to become a regular with the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), where he won the PWG World Tag Team Championship five times.
However, between 2002 (when he started his career) and 2013 (when he joined the WWE), Sami Zayn was fighting with a mask on.
