5 possible opponents for Braun Strowman after TLC

Let's see who would want to take on this Monster next

TLC was put together like an artist who obviously wants you to pay close attention to one particular portion of their work. The main event match will feature a newly reformed Shield and they are expected to win the match.

There are a few things WWE shouldn't do at TLC, and having Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose lose is only one of them.

But it would appear Braun Strowman's gigantic dance card might be empty after TLC. The Shield is rumoured to continue a feud with The Miz and The Bar leaving Strowman to find someone new to punish for being alive in the same ring as him.

So let's explore this idea with five choices WWE could make when picking The Monster Among Men's next opponent after the dust settles from TLC.

#1 Roman Reigns

Th
Will "The Big Dog" step up to the "Monster Among Men" one more time?

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns will most likely clash again. It's inevitable because the WWE Universe isn't big enough to keep these two big fish from bumping into each other sooner or later.

Although the recent viral mumps scare has taken Roman Reigns off the card for TLC, there's still a chance he'll get better and go after Strowman upon returning. After all, missing a big main event like he will at TLC has to light a new fire underneath The Big Dog.

But at this point, Roman Reigns needs to focus with his Shield brethren and take on more than just one opponent. This is why it's likely The Miz and The Bar will continue to feud with The Shield if upcoming house show advertisements are anyway of predicting things.

However, there's always the possibility Vince McMahon has another idea he wants to do with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns before The Big Dog's eventual date with "The Beast Incarnate" at WrestleMania 34.

Although I can't imagine what new idea WWE could have for them. We've seen those two fight in just about every gimmick match available at this point. But since WWE is apparently looking to bring back old-school gimmicks, a scaffold match is always on the table, although it would probably end up being a horrible idea.

#2 Kane

They
They look pretty good in the ring together

"The Big Red Machine" came back to WWE to shock and awe us and inserted in the main event at TLC. While Kane could have been simply placed in the main event of TLC to take the pinfall, maybe Kane's got another short run in him before he needs to take off an hit the campaign trail once again.

While Kane could have returned for a number of reasons, one of them very well might be to give Braun Strowman someone to battle with for a bit. If Kane ends up losing the TLC match for his team, "The Monster Among Men" could retaliate against "The Devil's Favorite Demon" and a feud could be born.

It would be a great learning experience for Strowman to work with Kane. Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Live that Kane isn't being booked for any house shows at this point, but there's always a chance he could appear on enough Raws to make a feud against Strowman work.

If WWE went this direction it might present an interesting marquee match for Survivor Series. After all, it's been a very long time since we've seen Kane and Strowman lock horns in the ring. You can skip to three minutes into the clip below to see how well these two monsters would work together.

#3 Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal

Could
Could Braun Strowman's next opponent be two champions?

WWE has painted themselves into a corner with the Survivor Series main event. Jinder Mahal is the WWE Champion and really shouldn't look weak. While it's likely Lesnar will take Mahal to Suplex City, there are also a few other ways WWE could book this match.

If Braun Strowman announced he wanted a piece of both champions, then he could win a qualifying match and earn a spot in the champion vs champion match at Survivor Series making it "The Beast Incarnate" vs "The Monster Among Men" vs "The Modern Day Maharaja".

Braun Strowman could take the loss in this match and neither champion would lose heat. There could be ways for Strowman to lose this match without having his reputation damaged in the process as well.

While it might be far-fetched, don't put anything past WWE when it comes to adding someone to a match at the last minute. After all, Strowman's been wanting another piece of Brock Lesnar since his loss at No Mercy.

#4 Kevin Owens

Could The Prizefighter be next?

With Survivor Series coming at WWE next after TLC it's likely any feud started now could wind up culminating in Survivor Series. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Live that he expected more than just one cross-brand match at Survivor Series this year.

It appears as though Kevin Owens and Randy Orton might be starting a feud on SmackDown Live, but that could always be put on the backburner to allow Kevin Owens the opportunity to jump company lines and get in Braun Strowman's business next.

KO and his best-friend Sami Zayn could pull another surprise out of their back pocket and show up on Raw to ruin Braun Strowman's day. This could result in some amazing back and forth across WWE brands requiring fans to tune into both shows in order to see the entire captivating storyline develop.

#5 Finn Balor

C
Could Finn Balor be next to take on Braun Strowman?

Rumors are circulating that say Finn Balor is going to get a chance to regain his Unverisal Championship at The Royal Rumble but that leaves Survivor Series wide open. After Finn Balor faces AJ Styles at TLC, there's no telling who The Demon will target next.

But Finn Balor could look at Braun Strowman as someone he needs to defeat first in order to prove he deserves a shot at Brock Lesnar's Universal Title. Those two haven't really had a program yet and the possibilities are rather exciting when considering what those two could do in the ring.

Finn Balor and Braun Strowman might be a very interesting dichotomy in the ring that could be fun to watch. It would certainly be something fresh to keep our attention after Finn Balor's long feud with Bray Wyatt comes to an end, in whatever way WWE plans on doing that.
