#2 Drew McIntyre could face John Cena

Drew McIntyre and John Cena aren't total strangers to each other.

John Cena and Drew McIntyre have crossed paths quite a few times. McIntyre and Cena were part of a Fatal Four-way match to determine the Universal Championship challenger at Royal Rumble. Aside from multi-man matches and tag-team showdowns, John Cena and Drew McIntyre have seldom crossed paths.

Apparently, there were once plans to do John Cena vs. Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania. However, those plans never came to pass as McIntyre ended facing Roman Reigns and Cena made a one-off appearance as "The Doctor of Thuganomics" to silence Elias.

Earlier this year, Drew McIntyre took a shot at John Cena and expressed a keen desire to face WWE's Franchise player hopefully. These comments were made when McIntyre was WWE Champion, but that shouldn't affect the chances of witnessing McIntyre vs. Cena that much. The match between The Scottish Psychopath and The Leader of the Cenation would have a magnetic appeal; two immensely powerful Superstars with varying techniques locking horns is sight fans don't get to see much.

This match is also a strong candidate for WrestleMania 37's main-event if WWE could get John Cena to compete at the event.
