#4. Former WWE Superstars Dawn Marie and Simon Diamond

Simon Diamond and Dawn Marie first met on the independent circuit. The couple remained friends for a while before kicking off their romantic relationship in 1998.

In an interview with SmashWrestling.com in 2000, Dawn Marie stated that Diamond was her biggest inspiration in life and supported her in her wrestling career.

"Personally Simon (Diamond) has been there through everything. This profession is very difficult at times and you tend to bring it home with you. If it was for Simon's support and guidance I don't know if I would still be in the business. (...) I met him on the Indies and when I went to ECW we realized that there was more to our relationship then we thought. My biggest inspiration in my life is my boyfriend. He is very supportive of me and my choices. He gives me strength when I need it and he gives me advice when I seek it. He understands my career because he is in it and this makes it a lot easier for me," she said.

In the same interview, Dawn Marie disclosed that she and Diamond were planning to tie the knot by the end of the year. However, they did not. Instead, they remained engaged for a few years before splitting in 2005.

In an interview with Rob Feinstein, the 51-year-old revealed why her relationship with Diamond fell apart.

"I was on the road 275 days (...) now because of that work and because of the schedule at WWE, I was never home. I'd come home Wednesday afternoon and sometimes I'd leave on Friday. So then, when Pat (Diamond) got his job at TNA, he would leave Wednesday morning. So basically he would literally drop the car off on Wednesday morning. I would pick it up so we didn't pay for double parking (...) that would ruin the best of relationships," she said.

In 1998, Diamond competed in a few matches in WWE. He also wrestled in two bouts the following year. The 53-year-old's last WWE match came in July 2002 when he defeated Johnny Swinger in a dark match on Velocity.

Earlier in 2002, Dawn Marie signed a contract with Vince McMahon's company. She spent nearly three years in the company before leaving in 2005.
