At one time, they openly mocked WWE for retaining their wrestlers and paying them large salaries without giving them anything to do. This has been a reported issue as WWE were possibly interested in signing Joey Ryan so that he wouldn't go to AEW.

Before the main show at Double or Nothing started, The Elite announced that Double or Nothing broke an attendance record at the MGM Grand with 20,000 people attending the premier event. It's a well-known fact that WWE has fudged their attendance rates at their bigger pay per views such as WrestleMania.
