#1 Backstage note on Brock Lesnar and Shane McMahon from the Royal Rumble
Shane McMahon's short-lived WWE return at the Royal Rumble will go down in infamy. He was "let go" by Vince McMahon due to his backstage behavior. Several reports have come out regarding Shane O'Mac and how he took the heat for the men's Rumble match being a disappointment.
One of them involves Brock Lesnar, who got what he wanted out of the match. Meanwhile, Shane's pitches were vetoed by Vince. This left him frustrated, according to Dave Meltzer.

“He was let go, so that’s the major thing. It all stems from the Royal Rumble and there were a lot of people that said he was very unprofessional backstage. It was just a mess. They just kept changing the match, over and over again. He wanted to do it one way, then Vince would veto it, Brock Lesnar would push for other things. Brock got a lot of what he wanted, and Shane didn’t get a lot of what he wanted, and then Shane complained to a lot of people and I guess talked down to a lot of people,” the report stated.
This ties in with Lesnar's intentions of looking as strong as possible for his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38. Shane McMahon was pushing to work with this RAW star at the event, before his reported WWE exit.
