Earlier this year, the storyline with Mandy Rose and Otis was one of the most enjoyable parts of WWE SmackDown for several weeks. Vince McMahon became a huge fan of Otis, and the big man won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in May.

Otis was at the peak of his run, but it all went south when WWE decided to put him in a feud against The Miz and John Morrison. Their legal shenanigans were a divisive segment on SmackDown, and the rivalry culminated at WWE Hell in Cell. There, Tucker turned on his old buddy and cost Otis his Money in the Bank briefcase.

WWE never followed up with this development. Instead, the company ditched whatever storyline it might have had for a Heavy Machinery rivalry. According to some reports, McMahon isn't very much concerned about Otis' push right now. Otis currently is teaming up with Chad Gable, but it looks like WWE has no long-term plans for him.
