5 Surprises that could happen on WWE SmackDown- Face turn, Undertaker challenged

A lot could change on the heels of Bayley's turn
A lot could change on the heels of Bayley's turn

In my opinion, this week's episode of WWE RAW was a better-than-average show with several significant developments especially including Bayley's heel turn. So the fallout episode of SmackDown should be a pretty interesting show as well, I feel.

In this list, I shall run through 5 surprises that I think could happen this week. Be sure to let me know what you think of my fantasy booking and whether you'd like to see any of these changes play out or not.

SmackDown Live has a lot of promise to become a must-watch show under the leadership of Eric Bischoff. The show has really gained momentum since the Roman Reigns storyline picked up steam and this could be a great sign for the months to follow, especially when SmackDown Live moves to FOX.

So, without any further ado, here are 5 surprises that could happen on SmackDown Live this week.

#5 Charlotte Flair turns face

This is the unlikeliest possibility which is why I have a feeling that I should slot this possibility right at the end. Charlotte Flair has excelled as a heel ever since she got called up but in light of Bayley becoming a heel, it does make sense for her to become a babyface.

Lest you forget, Charlotte Flair and Bayley are pretty much in the middle of a feud right now and while WWE can always do a heel vs. heel program, I have a feeling that it will be a little strange for fans, as they will have nobody to root for. But then if Charlotte Flair were showcased as the woman who battles the odds, takes on Sasha and Bayley on her own, everything could change!

Flair will become a heel somewhere down the road. Maybe the turn happens this very week!

#4 Aleister Black challenges The Undertaker

What we do know is that The Undertaker is slated to make a SmackDown Live appearance next week at Madison Square Garden. What we don't yet know is which current WWE Superstar is slated to get a rub from the legend's appearance on the show. I think someone like Aleister Black can make a challenge to The Dead Man, and establish himself as the successor to his dark throne when The Phenom makes his big return.

Even if Aleister Black has to eat a Chokeslam and a tombstone, it will be a step up for him to be featured in a segment with The Undertaker, because it will catapult him all the way to the next level. There is glory in defeat, as we learned from Buddy Murphy's amazing match with Roman Reigns, where the Big Dog established Murphy as a top dog in the blue brand. In my personal opinion, Black could make a challenge and if nothing else, that will get him headlines for a week at least.

To be featured in a Madison Square Garden segment with The Undertaker is a big deal, and I would imagine a lot of Superstars would be game for such a role.

#3 Cesaro joins forces with Nakamura and Zayn

A lot of people seem happy with how this week's episode of RAW panned out from start to finish, but if there's one grouse that they have, it is that Cesaro lost to The Miz after a great performance at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff. I think that this could be justified if plans call for Cesaro and Nakamura to be part of an alliance that also features Sami Zayn as the mouthpiece.

Cesaro has never really been the strongest WWE Superstar on the microphone and therefore having someone like Sami Zayn by his side will give him a pretty big rub, in my opinion. Plus, there's always the chance that this trio could potentially get to challenge The New Day, down the line.

The Miz could, in turn, align himself with the B-Team once more and perhaps elevate them like he had during his stint on RAW. Even though they have never been top Superstars at any point, Axel and Dallas are talented hands, and they deserve the spotlight.

Maybe The Miz has Nakamura's number this week when he gets blindsided by Cesaro and we are introduced to the blue brand's latest heel trio.

#2 Liv Morgan shows off her new character

Liv Morgan used to be a part of the Riott Squad until not very long ago, but then suddenly, she was separated and the group was dissolved for reasons that are unknown. It was assumed that she was going to go her separate way as a singles performer, and it made sense because she has all the tools to make it as a standout superstar on her own. She looks great and is pretty decent in the ring.

Well, she did show up for a match after months of being on the shelf, and after losing it, she said that she will return to showcase who she really is. Not long after that, a video came up with her chopping off her trademark pink hair. It is clear that she's due for a big transformation and I have a feeling that this new look could be showcased on SmackDown Live this week.

There are rumors galore that Liv Morgan may soon become the face of SmackDown Live, with Bayley as the top heel in the brand. Could this week be when she breaks out and introduces her brand new persona to the world?

#1 The architect of Roman Reigns' attack is revealed

This is a theory that's really out there, but then, on the other hand, one wonders if it is really all that weird, when all is said and done. Erick Rowan was revealed as the instrument behind the attacks on Roman Reigns, but from his protestations, it became clear that he was acting on someone else's orders, and that person could be unmasked on this week's show.

When you go to think about it, who has that kind of sway over Erick Rowan? The only name I can think of is Bray Wyatt (if it's not Daniel Bryan himself) because Wyatt was the leader of a devious cult known as The Wyatt Family, and Erick Rowan was one of his more ardent followers!

It is very clear that Bray Wyatt is assembling a brand new Wyatt Family from the Firefly Fun House and therefore, it is quite possible that he is calling the shots with regard to Reigns' attack, pulling the string like a master of puppets. There is a big feud waiting in the wings when Roman Reigns locks up with The Fiend.

Could we learn the secret of the Firefly Fun House this week?
