At WWE Survivor Series, the match that seemed to have the most build and story was the highly anticipated match between Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
In television interviews and social media, it seemed like there was a lot of bad blood between the former friends. How would that translate into a match at WWE Survivor Series?
The match started fast with a very brawling heavy style. It helped to sell the hate between the two competitors. The contest didn’t slow down at all for 18 wonderful minutes of action between two of the best in the WWE. Both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch had multiple near falls throughout the match for an enthusiastic Brooklyn Crowd.
The finish at WWE Survivor Series was surprising and clever. Charlotte attempted to use the rope to cheat her way to victory but the refs saw and stopped the count.
This allowed Lynch to counter the pin attempt and use the ropes herself to pick up the victory. It was a sudden and surprising end but protects both wrestlers going forward after WWE Survivor Series.
