#4 Charlotte Flair returns and wins the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WWE TLC 2020
Who knew that the "Lana is an underdog" storyline was just an excuse to get Charlotte Flair another title in 2020?
It was certainly a surprise to see Charlotte Flair return at WWE TLC 2020. It does make some real logical sense since she should be really mad at Nia Jax for taking her out of action in June. While Charlotte Flair is more effective as a heel, it would make sense to have her work with Asuka to get some revenge. And she did get some real revenge at WWE TLC 2020.
The match was a pretty solid one but a traditional tag team match. Shayna Baszler did an excellent job of working on body parts in the match as she twisted Asuka in all sorts of uncomfortable looking shapes. The match had Asuka as the tag partner in peril until Charlotte Flair made the save.
It was some sweet revenge to see Charlotte and Asuka pick up the victory and the Women’s Tag Team Championship title at WWE TLC 2020. It will be interesting to see how Lana fits into this storyline upon her return. She certainly deserves more than to be shoved aside for Charlotte Flair yet again.
