Last month, the WWE genuinely dazzled the fans with the arrival of Roman Reigns, Batista and Kevin Owens.
Even though Vince McMahon had announced Reigns’ return prior to the show, it was still like a surprise to the fans. During Raw, Reigns announced that he was in remission and in just some time, he will be fighting in the ring.
Last week, we also saw the reunion of Shield when Reigns and Rollins came to save Dean Ambrose from the Corbin Alliance. After a long time, The Shield reunited but what could happen when the group reunites again?
Here are 5 possible scenarios that could take place when The Shield reunites again.
#5 Braun Strowman joins the group
From the past few weeks, there have been quite a few rumors regarding The Shield. According to some reports, WWE is planning to do another Shield reunion but this time with a 4th member.
Yes, you heard it right; The Shield could be getting a new member soon. But who is that wrestler going to be?
Considering the things that are happening on Raw, I think Braun Strowman could join The Shield soon. He is feuding with Corbin right now but every time he gets his hands on him, The Monster Among Men gets attacked by Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley. Something similar happened on last Raw when Ambrose was facing McIntyre. Suddenly, he was surrounded by Corbin, Lashley, and Elias who then attacked him.
Strowman has an issue with every one of these Superstars and it why he could join forces with The Shield. The group is already a fan favorite and adding the Strowman to it will only do wonders. But, the real question remains, will the WWE Universe accept Strowman in The Shield?
#4 Dean Ambrose doesn’t leave the WWE
A few weeks ago, WWE reported that Dean Ambrose has denied re-signing with them and will leave the company when his contract expires in April, this year. Since then, fans are arguing whether a real-life situation or a storyline. Well, I don’t know which one is true but according to Tazz, Ambrose’s departure is real.
Recently, a fan asked Roman Reigns about this situation and the former Universal Champion said that he will take care of him. But, what does this mean?
According to rumors, Ambrose is unhappy with the treatment he is currently receiving and it is why he has decided to leave Vince McMahon’s company. However, WWE could make him re-sign by reuniting The Shield again.
We all know Reigns and Ambrose are close friends and if they both work together as a team then Ambrose could think up of changing his decision about leaving WWE. It is also possible that he had already signed a contract with them as per this rumor.
#3 Dean Ambrose saves Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins from Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley at WWE Fastlane
Roman Reigns announced his remission with Leukemia on the last episode of Monday Night Raw. However, it doesn’t mean that he is cleared for wrestling this soon.
But, a recent WWE advertisement has revealed a lot of things. PWInsider has reported that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are scheduled to face Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley in a 2 on 3 handicap match at WWE Fastlane. Now here’s the thing.
This is a match where the Corbin Alliance could easily defeat Reigns and Rollins, but I think that here The Shield, with Dean Ambrose, could reunite again. Let say that Reigns and Rollins win this match and then, like always, McIntyre, Corbin, and Lashley attacks them. This is where Dean Ambrose could come and save his brothers. This could be a perfect way to reunite this group again like last week Dean Ambrose didn’t make amends for what he did to Seth Rollins.
#2 Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
(Note: I am considering that Dean Ambrose is going to re-sign with the WWE and Roman Reigns has been cleared to wrestle in the ring.)
A few months ago, there were rumors that WWE is planning to do a triple threat match between The Shield at WrestleMania. However, a lot of things have happened since then and it is why this match is not happening at this Mania.
However now, there’s a high possibility that this epic match could happen. Even though it can’t happen at this year’s WrestleMania but there are many other pay-per-views where Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Ambrose could take place. To make this match happen, WWE first needs to reunite The Shield and then create misunderstanding among the teammates as they did last year. This is the match fans want to see in the WWE and I don’t think the company will delay this.
#1 Ambrose turns on Reigns
The way WWE is portraying Dean Ambrose can easily confuse the fans. One week he acts like a face but at the other, he becomes a heel. When he turned on Seth Rollins last year, fans were shocked as the timing was perfect. We thought that he will become a successful heel but unfortunately, the WWE booked him imperfectly which shattered all the momentum Ambrose had.
However, if Dean Ambrose still hasn’t re-signed with them then this feud could change his mind. WWE could turn Ambrose against Roman Reigns which will start a feud between them.
It is possible as WWE’s original WrestleMania plan for Reigns was to turn Ambrose against him that would have fixed their match at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. Even though Reigns is no longer the champion, this match could still take place this year.
