Now, here is a guy who pretty much cleared the field at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view not very long ago. Brock Lesnar stood tall and mighty in the middle of the ring, as he cleared out one competitor after the other, including some big names like Shinsuke Nakamura and the legendary Rey Mysterio.
The fact of the matter is that since his debut, Brock Lesnar has been presented as someone who wins most of his matches. And that is why if he loses a certain match, there's an element of surprise (as can be gauged from his loss to Seth Rollins), and a new star is made in the process.

Here is a man who broke The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak, and earned his stripes not only in WWE but also in the world of combat sports. Like it or not, the Brock Lesnar brand is one of the company's most prized possessions.
And for Ricochet, who's not the biggest star yet, to beat him may significantly dilute the Brock Lesnar brand.
