I'm just filling in for my colleague Rohit Nath this week, who will be back doing this article from RAW next week. Thankfully, he picked the right week to be away because this was a SmackDown show like none other.
RAW and SmackDown have been joined by NXT in the build to Survivor Series and the show is simply red hot right now. I think you guys will agree with me when I say that this was the best episode of SmackDown in quite some time.

#5 Daniel Bryan doesn't mind taking a loss
Daniel Bryan is just one of those performers who does not mind laying down for some young man so that he can immediately be catapulted to superstardom. While Adam Cole may not really be an unfamiliar face to the WWE Universe, you have to remember that a lot fewer people watch the show, as compared to RAW and SmackDown on FOX.
Like he did with Ali in the past and so many others, Bryan allowed Cole to pick up a huge win and establish himself as a star on a brand with far more eyeballs on it, this week. And he also wrestled a fantastic match where he made Adam Cole look like the star that he is.
#4 The Fiend and Brock Lesnar will lock horns at Survivor Series very soon
The Fiend captured the Universal Championship in Saudi Arabia after defeating Seth Rollins, who gave it his all, ironically on Halloween night. With many a trick, including disappearing and disappearing, The Fiend treated himself to the Universal Championship, cementing his position as a top Superstar. At this point in time, is there anyone in the WWE roster who can stop this scary individual?
The only name that comes to mind is Brock Lesnar. Lesnar has always been portrayed as an unstoppable beast in WWE, and it only stands to reason that even a demented man in a mask won't really scare him. So what does WWE do in such a unique situation?
The two men will face off against one another at Survivor Series, with Adam Cole possibly being thrown into the mix, to make the match even more exciting. I can't wait for this dream contest, unless something dramatic happens.
#3 Paul Heyman wants Lesnar to be on the same brand that he is on
One thing that we all know is that Paul Heyman is the creative genius behind RAW. Under his reign, we have seen the good, in the form of Humberto Carillo getting pushed as well as the bad and ugly, in terms of the Rusev and Lashley storyline.
It may become a cumbersome task for Heyman to be on a different brand from Heyman especially when he's booking a 3-hour show every week. But with Brock Lesnar close at hand, Paul Heyman can slip into the role of an advocate as and when is necessary.
One thing that they blatantly told us this week is that Rey Mysterio is Brock Lesnar's next victim on RAW. Brock Lesnar is furious and so is Rey Mysterio meaning that these two men will have a great feud, scripted by Paul Heyman.
We're in for some good quality sports entertainment!
#2 Nikki Cross' push was temporary
The current version of Nikki Cross is not the version that we're used to from her NXT days. Back then, she was a deranged lunatic, and now, while she shows signs of being unhinged, she's just a coffee addict, most weeks. One had assumed that she would be pushed all the way to the top when she became No.1 contender not long ago.
But quite rightfully, WWE has chosen to keep the title on heel Bayley. Bayley is someone whom they're invested in, especially after her makeover and her recent foray into the dark. With Sasha Banks by her side, Bayley is the hottest thing in the women's division not named Becky Lynch.
As for Nikki Cross, I think it'll be interesting to see what happens when Alexa Bliss returns. Will the two women team up or fight one another in the coming weeks and months, I wonder?
#1 Main roster Superstars could potentially invade NXT too
At the end of the night, there was a call to arms, a decree of sorts by Triple H who proclaimed to anyone who would listen that NXT was going into battle with RAW and SmackDown. One assumes that while NXT did fire the first salvo and make a lasting impression, the big boys will retaliate in a big way.
So don't be surprised if you see members of Team RAW show up in NXT to take their top stars out, like Becky Lynch leading the charge against the Horsewomen of MMA. Don't even be surprised if you see members of Team SmackDown exact revenge for how they were humiliated.
So, Roman Reigns could show up and take the fight to The Velveteen Dream. The Fiend and Balor could have an altercation.
The possibilities are quite limitless, as Keith Lee would say!
