5 things WWE subtly told us on Monday Night Raw (3 December 2018)

Rollins vs Ambrose - A build up like none other!
Rollins vs Ambrose - A build up like none other!

WWE Raw emanated from Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and the show did promise something great for the women's division. The show started with a women's division match, and ended with the same, which hasn't happened in a long time. The show also promised some face changes, and also a hint at some new championships that shall be making their way to the main roster.

There were amazing segments involving Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, but the final match involving Ronda Rousey and Ember Moon taking on Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka didn't go well.

There were way too many botches, and also a performance that didn't work the way we would have expected from Ronda Rousey. While that didn't go well, the show also gave us hints subtly, and in this article I share them with you.

#1 Dean Ambrose will mock The Shield

Mock the group that built you!

Dean Ambrose returned to Raw after some weeks of hiding and now had his own SWAT team to take care of him. The look Dean Ambrose carried towards the ring was inspired by the initial look The Shield had during their debut.

The promo was cut short by an attack from Seth Rollins who has been spearheading this feud since its inception. The two shared great chemistry as part of 'Hounds Of Justice' and while they did have a feud previously, this feud is a notch higher than the previous one.

This feud is definitely going to go until WrestleMania, and the two performers know how to make the most out of it. We can expect some more mockery of The Shield from Dean Ambrose, great matches down the road which shall be around the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC and onwards.

#2 Dolph Ziggler will play a role during the match at WWE TLC

Drew McIntyre has been on a roll since moving to the main roster, and his work has been great as part of a tag team with Dolph Ziggler. After the stint got over, he got into an authority storyline where he is working as a henchman for Baron Corbin alongside Bobby Lashley.

After what transpired over the weeks, it was clear that 'The Scottish Psychopath' was headed to being a heel, while Dolph Ziggler would turn babyface, and this week we saw that happen.

Dolph Ziggler interrupted the segment when his former tag team partner was graciously sharing accolades for the current acting Raw General Manager.

Drew McIntyre attacked his tag team partner, and it also confirmed that Dolph Ziggler would have a role to play during the match between the former and the leader of the Balor Club at WWE TLC.

#3 Drew McIntyre versus Finn Balor will determine the #1 contender

This match was already in the making, but this attack by Drew McIntyre backstage has set the tone for the #1 contender match to be held at WWE TLC. The two wrestlers in this match are the only worthy contenders for the WWE Universal Championship.

At this juncture, we don't see any feuds Finn Balor is involved in, or any enemies he has in the back except Drew McIntyre, while the latter has a foe in Dolph Ziggler. This factor will come into play on 16 December as Finn Balor would challenge Drew McIntyre to not only put the WWE Universal Championship opportunity at Royal Rumble on the line, but also Baron Corbin's job during their match at WWE TLC.

This would be the most suitable replacement for Braun Strowman who will have a major role to play during the match at the pay-per-view.

#4 Alexa Bliss will have a feud with Ronda Rousey

Alexa Bliss is on the sidelines due to an injury she suffered at the hands of Ronda Rousey. During this week's episode of Raw, we saw the latter show her frustrations to the head of the women's division, and the way 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' accused 'Little Miss Bliss', we can expect a lot of things to happen in the weeks that follow.

With Natalya in a feud with Riott Squad, Ronda Rousey will have to fend for herself against the team of Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka, which will be headed by Alexa Bliss.

As 'The Goddess Of WWE' has already started training at WWE Performance Center, we may see her interfere in the ring during the Royal Rumble, and the feud shall culminate at WrestleMania.

This would be a great storyline, as both Alexa Bliss and Ronda Rousey are good at cutting promos.

#5 WWE Women's Tag Team Championships will return soon

Tag Team Gold!
Tag Team Gold!

I said it in the past and will say it again that the women's division in the WWE should have a Women's Tag Team Championship, and during this week's episode of Raw the company gave us a hint that they plan on bringing the Women's Tag Team Championship back to their list.

During the Q&A session, a fan asked Bayley and Sasha Banks a question around the championship, and in response to the same we saw Bayley give us a hint that the forgotten championships may see the light of day soon.

With Lita and Trish Stratus also getting a mention, it is a possibility that the duo will have a major role to play in bringing these championships to life, and also in elevating the state of the women's tag team division on both brands in the process.
