The first match confirmed for WrestleMania 36 is the main event. Royal Rumble 2020 winner Drew McIntyre wasted no time, opening the show on RAW and announcing without any fear or hesitation that he chose Brock Lesnar as his opponent at WrestleMania 36.

While McIntyre was already a babyface, the Royal Rumble and the RAW after has completely cemented that status. It could be argued that before the Rumble, McIntyre was more of a tweener who was teasing a face turn.

However, eliminating Brock Lesnar and finally, Roman Reigns to win the Rumble were enough to cement that and the RAW after saw him squash Gallows & Anderson ("The best tag team in the world) before being attacked by Brock Lesnar.

McIntyre has finally turned face for the first time in over two years. The last time he was a face was during his NXT run and after he lost the NXT title to Andrade, he returned months later on RAW as a heel.
