CM Punk has been the Loki to Drew McIntyre's Thor, with the constant mind games, interferences, and costing The Scottish Warrior his victories with villainous pranks. Punk posing as the referee at Clash at the Castle and ensuring McIntyre didn't become the new World Heavyweight Champion was an act few saw coming.

Of course, fans knew The Second City Saint would interfere in some shape or form, but no one thought he would imitate a WWE official to play his games. However, it wasn't just The Scottish Warrior Punk has made an enemy out of; it seems that WWE SmackDown commentator and former five-time Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett has put Punk's name in his bad books.

Barrett was a commentator during Clash at the Castle 2024, and he was beyond furious with CM Punk's act. Following that, Barrett addressed the situation and claimed that WWE should fire The Voice of the Voiceless for what he did. Now, WWE might not fire Punk, but Barrett sure can take matters into his own hands.

WWE punished Cody for being too popular? Check now!

Punk is scheduled to appear on WWE SmackDown, and Barrett will be present as the commentator. Given that Wade Barrett is siding with Drew McIntyre, he could act on his frustration and ambush Punk. It can be during a segment or it can be backstage as well. Since Barrett and McIntyre are good friends in real life, Barrett getting involved would make sense in the storyline.

Furthermore, it can be established that CM Punk needs to watch his back on RAW and SmackDown since enemies can spawn anywhere!

CM Punk made a bold claim about Drew McIntyre

The feud between Punk and McIntyre has been taking shape for a while now. However, the WWE Universe needs to wait until CM Punk is medically cleared to see any action between them.

As the rivalry grows, Punk has made a bold claim about The Scottish Warrior's future after Clash at the Castle 2024.

"No animosity towards Drew (McIntyre) for the injury, the animosity comes from being gleeful about it. He said he prayed for it, now I am going to prey on him. And he's never going to ever be a champion here as long as I live. Not as long as we are on the same brand, not as long as we are in the same company. As long as there is air in my lungs, Drew McIntyre is never, and I promise you, and it is not a promise that he made, the empty promise to his wife who is sick. Who I really hope is okay, by the way. I promise him he is never going to be a champion ever again."

Drew McIntyre successfully dethroned Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Unfortunately, Punk assaulted McIntyre following the victory, which enabled Damian Priest to successfully cash in his Money in the Bank contract.
