One of the most dominating WWE Championship match performances happened at a House Show in New York's Madison Square Garden. On November 26, 1994, WWE Heavyweight Champion, Bob Backlund, faced Diesel.

Backlund had just won the title from Bret Hart at Survivor Series and three days later, he was making his first Championship defense.

After splitting from his longtime friend and tag team partner, Shawn Michaels, Diesel was ready to challenge for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

However, fans were in for a shock as Big Daddy Cool destroyed the Champion in dominant fashion. Diesel threw a boot at Backlund's stomach and proceeded to hit his finisher, the Jackknife powerbomb, and pinned him to become the new WWE Champion. All this happened in the space of 8 seconds.

This WWE Championship bout was faster than most of the squash matches in the company's history.

Diesel went on to hold the title for nearly a year before he was beaten by Bret Hart at the 1995 Survivor Series PPV.
