At NXT Takeover: Chicago back in 2017, Pete Dunne defeated Tyler Bate to become the WWE United Kingdom Champion. His reign was a long one and the Bruiserweight's prowess in the ring quickly came to the fore, as it became evident that it was not going to be any ordinary WWE Championship run.

The reign continued, as he defeated Superstars like Velveteen Dream, Zack Gibson, Joe Coffey, Jordan Devlin, Danny Burch, and Noam Dar, to name but a few.
At Takeover: New York, however, he met his match in WALTER. The deceptively fast and skilled giant of the United Kingdom scene took down Dunne again, and again until he could not get up. After a remarkable showing from both Superstars, WALTER became the new WWE United Kingdom Champion.
However, he was not done there, as in the next few weeks, he would defeat Pete Dunne again on an episode of NXT UK TV Tapings. At the moment, WALTER might be the most dominant Champion on the WWE roster.
