5 Very likely reasons why the Money in the Bank matches are happening at WWE Corporate Headquarters

This is going to be the best match in ages
This is going to be the best match in ages

I was browsing WWE's social media and a member of the WWE Universe has left a very snarky comment in the post that announced this spectacular match. WWE has been very creative indeed since the shows with a live crowd have stopped due to the ongoing pandemic.

In case you aren't aware, this year's Money in the Bank matches will be very different from the norm, which is pretty entertaining in itself. This year's edition will be held at WWE corporate headquarters, starting on the ground floor culminating at the top.

So, why has WWE decided to embark upon this unique path, you rightfully ask, and I will try my best to answer this question in this article. Be sure to leave a comment in the section below and let me know if you think this will be a contest that delivers.

#5 A change of setting from the Performance Center

The very essence, the very lifeblood, the very heartbeat of WWE are the fans, the WWE Universe. While we have almost gotten used to the empty arena aspect of WWE in recent times, one has to admit that it is the fans that make the product worthwhile. And as great as the WWE Performance Center is, unless there is a change of setting during the show, the audience can potentially lose interest.

A departure to the Boneyard and The Firefly Fun House helped a great deal during WrestleMania, and in a sense, this is a very similar decision as well. While the weekly shows are long, there are enough ad breaks for the audience to tune out and tune in on many successive occasions. However, in a WWE pay-per-view, it's just hour after hour of wrestling content without any breaks at all and even the biggest WWE fan can grow tired.

Just my 2 cents!

#4 Allows Triple H to be a part of this match

When Michael Cole and Corey Graves announced that the Money in the Bank ladder match was going to be held at WWE Corporate HQ, they also made it a point to mention that Triple H had never won this ladder match. And while Triple H is certainly in great shape for his age, he is certainly no Kofi Kingston when it comes to high-spot ladder matches right now.

And let's be honest, it will be very interesting indeed to see Triple H with the contract, whether he chooses to cash it in, on Braun Strowman or Drew McIntyre. Or even if he chooses to do something very different and cash in the title on Adam Cole.

And yes, one can always make the argument that this kind of setting allows the men and women in the match to be spread apart from one another. It minimizes risk of catching the disease in the current environment and that is a very good step from WWE, in my opinion.

#3 Possibility of interacting with some very unique characters

When the men and women of RAW and SmackDown brawl in the corporate offices of WWE, chances are that they will end up in Vince McMahon's cabin. Whether or not the chairman of the board will be in the cabin when they do remains to be seen.

And there are so many other things that could happen during the fracas as well. Maybe they interrupt a boardroom meeting that is being chaired by someone like Bruce Prichard and in the melee that ensues, some members of the creative staff take a bump as well.

I just think that the possibilities are endless and there's the possibility of the seeds of a future match being planted between Stephanie McMahon and some Superstar who crashes into her meeting. This has to be the most exciting thing that WWE has announced in quite some time because it breaks the mold of what sports entertainment can be and has a look at what it can truly become if booked right.

#2 The Edge vs. Orton match at WrestleMania sowed the seeds for now

So, one of the most awaited matches at WrestleMania went on for far longer than we had originally anticipated. It featured Edge and Randy Orton, two men who are the closest of friends in real-life brawling all the way through the WWE Performance Center. Edge's comeback match received mixed reactions from the audience watching at home, but through the match, WWE achieved something very interesting.

They had a chance to showcase to the world at large that their facilities in Orlando are just as world-class as they claim. Yes, one can always check it out in WWE Network specials, but there are significantly more eyeballs when it's a hotly anticipated contest, such as a grudge match between Edge and Orton. In fact, I would go so far as to say that a lot more people may be interested in seeing how the WWE Corporate Offices are than the Performance Center.

And now, there is a great chance for a guided tour of one of WWE's most unique properties.

#1 The success of the cinematic matches at WrestleMania this year

Not very long ago, Sportskeeda's own Stephanie Chase had a chance to connect and interact with The Big Show and ask him his opinion on the Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36. If you are interested to know what the legend had to say about it, please do click on the link and find out more about the same.

Just in case you've been living under a rock, John Cena and Bray Wyatt took each other on in the first-ever Firefly Fun House match. It had a fantastic cinematic effect all throughout, and while it has been criticized for being maybe a little too over-the-top, it was the beginning of something fresh, something novel in the wrestling sphere.

One has to assume that there will be an element of this nature with cuts and cinematic effects through the course of the contest. There is no way that so many angles in so many parts of the building can be covered without this element.

How creative is the think tank of WWE when they choose to be so?!
