5 WrestleMania 34 fantasies that will grab mainstream attention

The Gr
The Grandest Stage of Them All COULD grab mainstream headlines if any of these things happen

Well, what can you say about WrestleMania?

It's the epitome of your year if you're a part of the WWE Universe - but WrestleMania is still at least the one time of year where mainstream eyes and casual fans will tune in too, whether it be a major celebrity appearing, a crossover MMA Superstar debuting, or just for that hint of nostalgia when a legend returns.

So, what will be the headline-grabbing moment of WrestleMania this year? I'm counting down the top five possibilities...

#5 Charlotte breaks the streak

Charl
Charlotte will face Asuka at WrestleMania

Well, the word "dream match" may be slightly overused these days, particularly when we could see a fair few of them on this WrestleMania card - but WWE somehow got us there. With Asuka winning the Royal Rumble, there was a hint this may happen, and it actually is happening! At Fastlane, Asuka shocked the world by challenging SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania.

Now, Asuka is undefeated, even surpassing Goldberg's record and even winning the first ever 30-woman Royal Rumble Match. If Asuka ever loses, it will be BIG news.

If anyone's to do it, Charlotte is probably as logical a choice as any, being the most dominant female Superstar in WWE aside from Asuka. And with Carmella holding a Money In The Bank contract, it could just be that neither woman in this match actually leaves with the title.

One thing is for sure, this one isn't a foregone conclusion, and Asuka's streak could very well be in jeopardy in New Orleans...

#4 Rusev's "celebrity" challenge is answered... by Batista or The Rock!

Could one of the
Could one of these "celebrities" return to face Rusev?

Rusev has found himself without a match thus far on The Grandest Stage of Them All, despite being one of WWE's most over Superstars with his Rusev Day gimmick - but the Bulgarian Brute took matters into his own hands when he issued an open challenge on social media to any celebrity willing to face him.

While Rusev got a few willing participants, one man who responded was The Rock - but only to suggest Kevin Hart. Well, that doesn't mean we won't see The Rock at WrestleMania, but I think a more logical choice is another man who definitely falls under the bracket of celebrity.

Batista has recently said he ruled out a Hall of Fame induction as he doesn't believe his WWE career is over and has also said he would love to come back to WWE on a full-time schedule.

The Animal is now one of the biggest stars on the planet thanks to his portrayal of Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy and would be a fitting Superstar to fill the role of opponent for Rusev at WrestleMania.

Needless to say, this one would shock the world!

#3 Ronda Rousey FINALLY debuts - but how does it all go down?

R
Ronda Rousey's first WWE match will be at WrestleMania

Well, this one is making headlines regardless of what happens. The mainstream media sat up and took notice when Ronda Rousey "debuted" at the Royal Rumble, then shocked the world by becoming a full-time WWE Superstar.

Rousey is fitting in nicely, notably putting Triple H through a table and being announced to make her first match at Mania, tagging with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Now, the HUGE headline grabber would be Rousey losing, but I don't think that's on the table for her debut. The Authority screwing her over on her debut would grab headlines and set up a great story, but I think we see Kurt Angle and the former UFC star stand with their hands raised at the end of this one.

Will Ronda Rousey beat Stephanie McMahon in seconds, or will she tag in and put on a technical wrestling clinic after an impressive Samoan drop on Raw?

This one WILL grab headlines. Just how it does is anyone's guess.

#2 Daniel Bryan makes his in-ring return

I thin
Will Daniel Bryan return to the ring?

Well, after he gave a very interesting answer on whether he'll return to the ring yesterday, it seems like this is MUCH more likely than it ever previously was.

Could Daniel Bryan return to the ring? Well, one suggestion is that we may see Daniel Bryan team up with Shane McMahon to face off against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn - but this is all down to whether or not the doctors will clear Bryan to wrestle.

This, as always, is anyone's guess. WWE has hinted at a return for a while now, but when someone is "medically disqualified" from wrestling, that decision is never normally reversed.

One thing is for sure, this return would shock the world!

#1 Undertaker vs John Cena actually happens

T
The dream match may well be on!

Nothing else was ever going to top this list, was it?

If this match happens, if Undertaker returns, and if it is to face 16-time World Champion John Cena, it's making the headlines.

It looked like The Undertaker had retired last year when he left his hat and coat in the ring after losing for only the second time in WrestleMania history to Roman Reigns. But after fan-made posters emerged, it looks like WWE took notice and may now be steering towards a match that definitely can only be classified as a dream match.

With John Cena calling out Undertaker on Raw not once, but TWICE now, it looks like this match could very well be on!

But what Undertaker do we see? Well, after leaving his coat and hat in the ring last year, we've only seen The Deadman once, at Raw 25, where he wore a cloak and looked like a very different Deadman. With Kid Rock going into the WWE Hall of Fame and John Cena taking some very "personal" shots at Undertaker, even mentioning his wife and a certain workout video on Instagram, could we finally see the return of Big Evil, The American Badass?!

This one definitely isn't far out in the realm of possibility, and it would no doubt shock the world!
