5 WWE stars who have won a championship in at least three major promotions

Scott Steiner earned a lot of success in the WCW

Rob Van DamThese days, winning a championship in WWE is considered the biggest achievement for a wrestler. The WWE enjoys a pseudo-monopoly in the wrestling business, because of which WWE titles are considered far more prestigious than any other. But back in the old days, WWE was not the only big fish in the pond, and winning a title in WWE was not everything. There were WCW and ECW back in the 90s and then came TNA. Although ECW and TNA did not reach the levels of WWE, they did manage to build a strong fan base and stood out from the other promotions. While these four promotions gave the fans a lot of memories to cherish, there are some special wrestlers who managed to win titles in three different promotions. This list takes a look at them.

#5 Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner earned a lot of success in the WCW

Most of the current wrestling fans might not take Scott Steiner seriously now but back in the day, he was a force to reckon with.

He had a memorable stint in WCW, where he was a tag team, television, heavyweight and United States Champion. He was the eighth Triple Crown champion in the history of WCW. Steiner then won the tag team championship in WWE, which surprisingly is his only WWE title.

Steiner then found championship success in TNA where he was the TNA World Tag Team Champion alongside Booker T, who you will see later in this list. Steiner never won a title in ECW though.

#4 Rob Van Dam

Would you like a Rob Van Dam return?

Rob Van Dam is one of the few wrestlers who won titles in three major promotions. He made his first big break as part of ECW and became a big name there. He was the television champion and tag team champion in ECW and later went on to win the ECW World heavyweight championship in the WWE’s version of ECW.

Van Dam is also a multiple time champion in WWE; he has won almost every title available in the promotion. The only title that Rob Van Dam hasn’t got yet is the United States Championship.

In TNA, RVD was a world champion and also an X-Division. However, Van Dam never won a title in WCW.

#3 Booker T

Booker T

The five-time WCW Champion has held championships in WWE and TNA as well. Booker, who found success as a tag team wrestler alongside his brother Stevie Ray, went on to become the WCW World heavyweight champion. He then became a World heavyweight Champion in WWE and also won all the other titles in the promotion.

Booker did not win the World Championship in TNA, but he did win the TNA Legends Championship and TNA Tag Team championship, which were enough to get him a place in this list. Booker is also a Triple Champion in WCW and a Grand Slam champion in WWE.

#2 Raven

Raven had a character that is similar to Bray Wyatt

Raven is probably one of the most underrated names in the wrestling business. He is known to be a creative genius but unfortunately for him, he did not reach his true potential on the big stage.

Raven’s career has been solid despite his WWE flop, and he won titles in all the four promotions. He was a two-time ECW World heavyweight Champion, one-time TNA Champion, United States and Light heavyweight Champion in WCW and a 27-time hardcore champion in WWE.

And yet, there are some who say that Raven did not live up to his true potential. Imagine what he would have done if he had some creative freedom when he was in his prime.

#1 Mick Foley

Mick Foley

Mick Foley is someone who needs no introduction. The legendary superstar has been a stand-out name wherever he's wrestled. He first found success in WCW where he became a tag team champion alongside Kevin Sullivan. He was then sent to ECW, where he became the Tag team champion with Mikey Whipwreck.

Foley became a three-time WWE champion during his spell in WWE and apart from the WWE Championship, he won the Hardcore title and the tag team title as well. Foley completed the circle by winning the TNA world heavyweight championship in 2009 when he defeated Sting, one of his most notable opponents in WCW.
