After joining WWE in 2001, John Cena was in a few relationships with some of his colleagues in the company. However, he ended up tying the knot with his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau in July 2009.

The couple remained married for three years before the relationship ultimately collapsed. The leader of the Cenation filed for divorce in 2012. As TMZ reported at the time, Huberdeau was surprised by Cena's decision. This led to her challenging their prenup and accusing him of infidelity.

Later in 2012, Huberdeau's lawyer announced that his client and her ex-husband had settled all matters between them. According to some reports, Huberdeau received a settlement worth 60 million dollars.

After his divorce, Cena dated WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella for a few years. The couple got engaged in April 2017. However, they broke up a year later, nearly a month before their wedding.

The 16-time World Champion is currently married to Canadian engineer Shay Shariatzadeh. They started dating in early 2019 after meeting while Cena was filming his movie Playing with Fire in Canada. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in October 2020.
