There's a popular phrase in English language that goes like this: "Getting a taste of your own medicine", which essentially means that a person is on the receiving end of an unpleasant experience that they had previously given to someone. Instances happen every day in the real world, where this particular phrase fits perfectly.

With decades of rich history behind it, it shouldn't be a surprise that this phrase has become a reality on multiple occasions in the storied history of Professional Wrestling. With writers having free reign to let out their imagination and go crazy with storylines, many have attempted to write angles where a Superstar got a taste of their own medicine. In the following list, we will take a look at five such instances.

At WrestleMania 30, AJ Lee managed to retain her Divas title belt and win a 14-Woman match.

The night after WrestleMania 30, AJ Lee boasted about surviving the multi-women match and leaving victorious. To a thunderous ovation, Paige made her main roster debut and congratulated Lee on her victory. The obnoxious Champion wasn't thrilled one bit and proceeded to slap Paige, after she declined Lee's offer for a title match by stating that she isn't ready. A match kicked off immediately, and ended in a shocker as Paige won the Divas title in her debut!

Around two months later, AJ Lee returned and managed to convince a reluctant Paige to give her a title match. The bout resulted in Lee defeating Paige to win the title back, to a sea of cheers. The roles were reversed to a 'T' that night, as can be seen in the videos below.

After becoming the youngest WWE Champion in history, Randy Orton successfully defended the title the next night on Monday Night Raw. Soon after, Evolution held a mock celebration for the new Champion. Clearly, Triple H wasn't thrilled with Orton holding his title, and he signaled a thumbs-up, followed by a thumbs-down to Orton, who was propped on Batista's shoulders. The Animal dropped Orton and a ruthless beatdown began, kicking Orton out of Evolution.

On the road to WrestleMania 21, Batista won the Royal Rumble Match and Triple H tried his best to convince him to move to SmackDown. Batista hinted at agreeing to leave at first, and signaled to Triple H with a thumbs-up. The thumb soon went down, as the crowd went wild. Batista hit a Batista Bomb on Triple H through a table, to cap off one of the greatest segments of the Ruthless Aggression Era.

The beatdowns always started with Wade Barrett and company circling around a helpless Superstar, followed by everyone ganging up on him.

On an episode of Raw, mere days away from Night of Champions, the six Superstars who were going to compete in a 6-Pack Challenge at the PPV , gathered in the ring. To Barrett's horror, everyone circled him. Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Jericho, and Edge proceeded to deliver a thunderous beatdown on Barrett, similar to what he did to many in the past.

The Raw before WrestleMania 15 will always be remembered by fans for giving them possibly the greatest moment in the show's history. In a matter of days, Stone Cold Steve Austin was going to meet The Rock for the WWE title at WrestleMania.

Austin interrupted a segment featuring The Corporation (Vince McMahon, Shane, and The Rock) and came out driving a beer truck to huge fanfare. As The Rock ran his mouth on Austin, The Rattlesnake dragged a pipe from the side of the truck and chaos ensued soon after. Austin gave The Corporation a beer bath of epic proportions, as the crowd went bananas on what they had just witnessed.

A couple of years later, a babyface Kurt Angle confronted Austin and The Alliance, driving a milk truck to the arena and spraying the heels with gallons of milk.
