#1 John Cena should win the WWE Championship

John Cena is a sixteen-time World Champion.

The Leader of the Cenation won his first WWE Championship from JBL at WrestleMania 21. Soon after that, he introduced the spinner version of the WWE Championship.

Over the next decade, John Cena would win the WWE Championship multiple times to the point that a significant portion of the fanbase was tired of him in the spotlight.

However, since 2016, the Champ has taken on a less active role in WWE, which means his chances of winning the WWE Championship are limited. He did win his record-equalling 16th Championship at Royal Rumble 2017, but he only held it for 14 days.

John Cena has since become a huge star in Hollywood, and as a result, he is available for only a few dates. He is no longer "The Face That Runs the Place."

He was last seen in a WWE arena at WrestleMania 36, where The Fiend victimized him in a FireFly FunHouse match. The Fiend's dominating win was a clear indication that Cena wasn't WWE's top-most commodity anymore.

With his busy schedule and a new, younger roster, his chances of winning that record-setting 17th Championship are slim. While Cena's wrestling career may be winding down, and his acting career may be taking off, The Rock won the WWE Championship in early 2013.

John Cena needs to win the WWE Championship again to make history and create an unforgettable moment. He may win the Universal Championship, but his storied history with the WWE Championship makes a WWE title victory more sense.
