The Royal Rumble is going to take place this Sunday at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The match-card is completely stacked with nearly all championships being defended and two Royal Rumble matches.

Currently, there have been 20 entrants announced for Men's Royal Rumble match, and the rest of the 10 entrants will be known during the match itself as WWE wants to plan huge surprises for the fans going into the event.

So, here are six superstars who are rumored to participate in the men's Royal Rumble match...

#6 Tye Dillinger

Tye Dillinger is expected to return to WWE very soon. He suffered a hand injury at a WWE live event, which lead him being pulled from a United States Championship match against Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown a few months ago.

Since then Dillinger has been recovering, and now is rumored as a surprise entrant in the Men's Royal Rumble match. Dillinger debuted on the main roster as a surprise call-up in the Royal Rumble match of 2017 in which he entered at No.10.

Last year, he was attacked by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens before entering in the Royal Rumble, after which Zayn took his spot in the match. "The Perfect Ten" can make a return in this year's Royal Rumble match which would be an exciting moment for the fans.

#5 Kevin Owens

Another Superstar set to return from injury is Kevin Owens, who is reportedly losing some weight for his much-awaited in-ring return. WWE also aired a vignette on his return last month on Raw.

He has been rumored to be one of the entrants in Royal Rumble match and also has a planned feud for WrestleMania 35 against Bobby Lashley for Intercontinental Title, as it was Lashley who injured Owens on Raw a few months ago.

Fans have been lately missing Owens on Raw since his character has always been beloved by the WWE Universe. So a return by Owens at the Royal Rumble would generate a massive pop among the fans watching the event.

#4 Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn who was teaming with Kevin Owens last year is expected to return very soon. Zayn suffered two torn rotator cuffs during a Montreal Live Event and supposed to be out until 2019 before WrestleMania season.

Last month, WWE aired a vignette for his return on Raw, and he has been seen at the WWE Performance Center training for his in-ring return. He is also rumored to be one of the entrants in the Royal Rumble match.

Now whether he continues to team with Owens or work as an individual superstar needs to be seen. But it would be exciting to see nearly 50,000 fans in Chase Field singing Zayn's theme song.

#3 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has been absent from WWE for a long time. The last time we saw Wyatt was when he teamed with "Woken" Matt Hardy to win Raw Tag Team Titles. Later on when they lost the titles to the B-Team, both of them vanished from television.

Then it was reported that Hardy took hiatus from in-ring action and will be turning into a backstage producer. Meanwhile, Wyatt was kept off since no storyline was available for him. There were some rumors that WWE was planning to change his gimmick.

Recently, he returned at WWE Starrcade to face Baron Corbin, which began speculation that he might replace an injured Braun Strowman to face Corbin at TLC but that didn't happen. Currently, it is rumored that the former WWE Champion can be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match.

#2 Shawn Michaels

Finally, after eight long years, Shawn Michaels returned to action when he teamed with Triple H to face The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel. The match was largely criticized as many believed it would have been better if Michaels would have stayed retired.

But of course, Michaels is still a big draw for the company and is rumored to return for more matches in the future with the likes of The Undertaker, AJ Styles, and Daniel Bryan. So it's possible he competes in a match at WrestleMania this year.

In the past, he has been approached several times to become an entrant in the Royal Rumble match, most recently for the 2017 Royal Rumble, which took place in his hometown of San Antonio. He could perhaps be a surprise entrant in this year's Royal Rumble match which would shock every fan in Phoenix.

#1 Batista

WWE is planning a "major match" for Batista at WrestleMania 35. He returned to WWE on SmackDown 1000 for a reunion with his fellow members of Evolution. Batista then targeted Triple H on the show, setting up a feud for WrestleMania.

But Triple H's suffered a torn pectoral muscle during his tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel, which could force him to miss WrestleMania. Batista has always talked about having "one last run" in WWE which would put an end to his career.

He could still return as an entrant in the Royal Rumble match and could begin the major feud WWE has been planning for him at the big event. There are various superstars he could face such as Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley and even Brock Lesnar who would be a perfect opponent, for The Animal's last match in WWE.
