Sami Zayn reached the summit.

It's hard to argue which the match of the night at Clash of Champions 2020 was. From a storytelling standpoint, the Universal title main event was the best. From an excitement and thriller standpoint, the WWE title co-main event was possibly the best. But in terms of a pure in-ring masterpiece, the opening Triple Threat Intercontinental title ladder match took the cake.

Jeff Hardy had to put his title on the line to prove who the true undisputed Intercontinental Champion was. It was an epic clash between three veterans. Sami Zayn outsmarted both opponents as he chained Jeff Hardy's pierced earlobe to a ladder while handcuffing AJ Styles, allowing himself to pick up an incredible victory.

Clash Of Champions was the best that Sami Zayn looked in years and now that he's the undisputed Intercontinental Champion, it might only be up from here for him.

Sami Zayn has long deserved a big break and Clash of Champions 2020 was WWE giving it to him.
