#2. A glorious return and WWE title match on RAW

He's back!
He's back!

Robert Roode hasn't been on RAW since last year. He was drafted to SmackDown where he was in a team with Dolph Ziggler. The main reason why he hasn't been on WWE programming since March was the travel restrictions between Canada and the United States of America.

While those restrictions were eased a while ago, WWE likely would have wanted to wait for the right time to bring him back. Drew McIntyre, seeking a new title challenger, made an offer on RAW.

He would hold an open challenge at the end of the night on RAW against anyone who hasn't faced him for the WWE title. While Dolph Ziggler was seen with Adam Pearce, he came out and it wasn't him who was going to challenge for the WWE title - it was his tag team partner Robert Roode.

The last time that the two met was at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 3 - where McIntyre ended Roode's excellent NXT title run. This time around was no different and after managing to fight off Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre retained in a rather underrated contest.

We're excited to see what lies ahead for Robert Roode on RAW.
